This is a great piece of equiptment. I can make really clear recordings w/ my bass on this thing abd then put them on my iPod and computer.

JUST A NOTE: This CAN be used with iPod Nano 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations.

I went ahead and took the plunge, played the guinea pig. I sold my Fostex MR8 to pay for the TuneStudio because I didn't like the scratchy monitor outs of the MR8. I use my iPod just about every day, so why not have something simple to record with, comes with software, is both a portable recorder and an interface, and immediately puts everything on my iPod?

Here's the problem: the recordings skip. Five tries in a row, with different kinds of inputs, the track would skip at 1:10, at 1:36, at 2:20, and so on, consistently at the same points. By skipping, I mean about a second would be left out of the recording.

No good. I'm returning it, getting a decent interface by some known entity.

Just received my Tunestudio, So far so good. Have 2 mics, Korg Pandora rhythm machine and EPI Les Paul going through a Roland cube 30 then into tunestudio. I do not have much experience in music recording but it all seems to be working fine as well as downloading and bringing into Cakewalk or Audacity. The files on the Ipod transferred to Itunes seamlessly.
