I absolutely love it ! Sounds great on my5 string jazz midi Zeta electric violin ! This is the best that electric violinist can use: the weight and shape. This is the best choice for the electric violin so far.But the problem hidden in frequency .... I gig a lot - 2-3 times a week and travel a lot. Two times I had a BIG PROBLEM using it on stage in big banquet facility? because of another bands playing in the other rooms or banquet hall's own wireless system. I had to put a wire to play without the problem. What happened, someone else was on same frequency I was and someone elses sound was coming out of my unit and my sound was coming out from theirs' system. Wish that AKG made a same unit with multichannel choice ! Be aware of this possible situation with other wireless system near by !!!!

I own the same system but with the belt pack transmitter (not the guitar bug). It is OK to say the most I can about it. As a traveling musician I like to rack mount my gear for simplicity. I was disappointed the rack hardware was not included & no one (even AKG themselves) seemed to have it available. I was also warned this will change your tone - and it did. Everything was MUCH brighter. I had to re-EQ my entire board since everyone was now using these wireless units in my band. Now that we have them dialed in, they work OK. When these die we will definately go with something more high end and skip the hassles.

Don't buy this unit. Use the money you would throw away on it to buy a Line6 X2 system. After I tried this junk I bought the top of the X2 line. I did the Pepsi challenge on this, don't bother.

I've had mine for about 4 years now. I use it for every job and when I practice. I've3 never had a problem with it. Take care of it like you would any of yor equipment and it'll last you years.

I have had mine for about a year and it is absolute junk! I had to have the bug replaced once and used it at a couple of practices and it worked fine. As soon as I trusted it enough to use on stage it started making ear piercing squeals. I use a bass with active electronics and it overdrives the unit even with the gain just about turned off. Don't waste you money on this over priced piece of plastic junk! My Nady works better.
