I have owned this for around 5 months and it's still ticking. I've recorded many many takes with this thing with instruments ranging from voice, latin guitar and various hand-percussion. Voicing switch gives plenty of different types of sound from my mic. I also use the TS/TRS input as well for boosting my guitar signal into my computer.

It's built very well and has been left on for weeks without it copping out.

The product works great in ' trained ' hands. The signal is clean and very usable.. the EQ selection on the unit is quite nice actually, whole lot of intresting tonalities at begin with. What it misses is a High Pass Filter. Cheers.

I purchased one last week and put it in service last night and just love it. I use it as a driver between my home theater amp and my Mac tube mono-block into a JBL 15" sub. I just love the extra warmth it gives my sub.

Picked one up from Sam Ash, had a lot of hiss/hum with the first unit. I tried isolating it and tried the quarter inch out with guitars and xlr out with multiple mics, went through all the settings and couldn't escape the dirty hum. Took the unit back for a replacement thinking it was faulty, but the replacement had the exact same problem. Good for grungy dirty noise stuff but that's not what I bought it for.

I use this for a few things, but it mostly sits on my pedal board to warm up my guitar sound. I have a couple of solid state amps, and by using this little box, I can get an authentic tube sound. Even non-musicians can tell the difference! Yes, it is noisy on the high Db setting, but if you fool around with it enough, you will find a setting that will fit your purpose. I would certainly by another if it broke or got lost. I've had it for a year, with no problems. I'm considering a second one to run vocal my mic through for acoustic gigs. I have not used it to record.
