i own this mixer and use it in my home studio. It is a ick little mixer for the price. I use sony acid pro 7 and this mixer is recognized well. i often record two tracks simultaneously with it by using the left and right outputs and just pan things on the mixer left ad right. if you are looking for a way to record, single tracing, this is the mixer for you.

I bought this thinking i could just easily set it up and start recording on my laptop. Well, I can't even get it to work. First of all, if I plug my guitar into it or a microphone, it doesn't even seem to recognize it. Also when I plug it into my laptop it wont even recognize it is plugged in. I've spent hours trying to figure this thing out and now I'm completely fed up with it. I cant even get Cubase to recognize the mixer and there is no customer support. Worst product I've ever bought.

As a newcomer into the computer recording field I guess I learned the hard way... This unit is a pretty fair standalone mixer, but the USB capabilities are... well it has none. I've yet to find a redeeming quality. Again its an alright little 8-track, however there's better on the market for the price....

Noisy, 2in 2out, cheaply made

I originally got this because I have a fairly large number of sources that I wanted to mix to one (and sometimes two) sets of speakers. I thought the built in USB sound card would be a nice addition. After I got it home and actually started using it, I noticed that the USB sound card had a LOT of issues. It worked ok at first but after a reboot it had digital seepage like any other cheap sound card does. The knobs are obviously low grade plastic, the effects are really poor and the thing gets really hot even when it's just sitting there even though the oversized powerbirck is on the power cord. I would not buy this or suggest it to a friend

MisLED

I was misled so long about buying a USB MIXER for my DAW, thinking I could never use a "Regular Mixer" for what I needed to do. Just recording 1 track at a time to my DAW = Ableton 7, Cubase, Audition. I bought this thing & was so utterly disappointed that the Sales Rep at teh music store didn't bother to tell me it was only USB 1.0, which is worthless if you know anything about computers. I got all these pops & clicks, stuttering, lag etc. I was only recording 1 track at a time mind you. Plus, I have keyboard I use for most of my instruments, but I would never record them both at the same time, although my PC could handle it, 3Ghz Pentium, 2GB DDR2 533 Mhz Ram, 7200 Rpm Sata Drives, which are never even close to half full, also have a decent Soundblaster Audigy 4-awesome digital sound w/ Cambridge Soundworks 500 Watt 5.1 Dolby Speaker System. Anyways, I just think this whole generation of USB mixers are misleading people to buy crap!
