I bought this item a few years ago and I have never been satisfied with it. I've blown the fuse countless times. I can barely hear myself (using it as a monitor) during practice. It feeds back (earsplitting loud) when the gain is boosted past 50%. The product looks and feels cheap, and is not durable. Spend your money on something else.

For a start up set they work good. You get what you pay for, Sound is clear you just can't push them hard. I dj if I play oldies I can crank. Hip hop with bass I better watch or they will clip.

I bought a pair of these on clearance for about half price. I used them one time for a small wedding reception. They were awesome. Plenty of power for a small party. I wanted to use them for monitors for my band, but ended up selling them for twice what I paid for them. I wished I had them back. I will be buying some at full price now. You cannot put a lot of bottom end into them. They will distort, but you can use them for recorded music at a pleasant level.

Pushing the low frequencies brings heavy distortion. Bit of buzzing too. Highs work really well. Don't plan on using these without a sub or bass amp though.

I got these for obvious reasons, I coudn't afford the Mackies or JBLs! As noted, the bass leaves something to be desired. One of my pair has less than the other. So subs are definitely in order for larger crowds. I REALLY appreciate the extra in/outputs, INCLUDING RCA. I'd like to get another pair for back up AFTER I get some JBLs next. Powered is the way to go as a Mobile DJ and these are great for start ups.
