Not a bad amp fot the buck

Yes it has a talk over so if you have music playing & YELL on the mic the amp will clip. But guess what the amp is not dead. Just turn it off if the RED light comes on & wait about 2 minutes then power the amp on & you are good to go.

I have had nothing but problems with this amp cutting out on me. clips red then you must shut down to let cool. Speakers cut out , I am only running very low watt speakers, still clips out.

I have this amp running my stage monitors. This thing is junk. Cuts out at random. We end up doing a few songs with no monitors until it decides its cool enough to run again. Bottom line get a crown. Dont be cheap. THIS IS NOT AN AMP FOR LIVE SOUND

I've had this amp only about 3 months now powering my passive studio monitors and I'm impressed! It is very well-built and has a nice, clean sound with plenty power. I am buying two more to run my guitar cab and my stage monitors, and when I do, I'll update you with how that works out.

I'm sure this amp will run a long time as long as you don't abuse it.

If you try to power 2 300 watt speakers with it, you WILL get distortion. You have to remember to use these amps for what they are intended, and you'll have it for a long time, and it will sound great. Always read the manual when setting up any gear, and you'll save money in the long term.

I would definately recommend this product for any amplification needs.

I am about to pack up my six month old VLP300 and ship it to American Audio to be fixed. The amp had been working great, good clarity, no distortion, fan noise was present, but not bad... Today I turned it on and the amp showed red "protect" lights on both channels. I wasn't even sending a signal to it! Tech support was dumbfounded and now I'm forced to pay to ship this thing to California so they can repair or replace it. I am glad this happened while it was still under warranty, but I am very dissatisfied with short lifespan of this amp.
