Absolutely great for sky and vortex effects. I use this for small parties, generally in my home. Would work great for any small to medium venue. Only real drawback is lack of control of position and zoom without a controller.

For best results, you have to use a DMX controller or UC3 remote control.

I bought 1 of these when they first game out. I use it to project on the ceiling. It has a nice wide projection and good movment. This laser is one golor green only, but it works well with our main light show. I don not believe it would work as well in a small set up.
