not enough fog output

I have this fogger and it only puts out fog for maybe 35 to 45 sec before it shuts off and needs to reheat which takes another 30 to 40 sec. Fog will stay close to floor if there is no air movement. I am going to try dry ice instead of water ice and see how that does at keeping the fog low longer. I would like to hear from others that have this fogger on how long theirs runws before it shuts off to reheat.

This unit works pretty well if you are not expecting a total dry ice experience. It is not advertised as a dry ice fogger. The fog will rise when it heats up, but I have found that if you use dry ice,(available at most grocery stores or mega-chain discount stores these days) instead of water ice to chill the fog, it will last much, much, longer. Also, If you do a search of the internet for a 'Chiller Box", there are plans for building your own. These are used by people who create their "Home Haunts" at halloween. Overall, a pretty decent product from a decent company.

I'm a DJ, as with many American DJ lighting & fog products, great idea, badly executed. The fog stays low only if there's virtually no draft. On the dance floor, it rises quickly with people stomping all over the place. The exhaust pipe for water from the ice broke from normal usage and water always leaks from the internal ice chamber and goes out through the heater vent and its electronics(!!)

this machine is not the same as a fog and dry ice effect but it also doesn't cost nearly as much. it actually works very well when used in a no draft situation, but the minute a draft of A/C, wind, etc., hits it up it goes. Not a bad product overall i would probably buy it again strictly b/c of how easy it is to use.

I tried this unit twice and it just doesn't keep the fog low. It comes out low but within a few seconds it warms up and starts spreading out too high. I tried it in a low ceiling club that was about 10 feet high and there was fog from floor to ceiling within a couple of minutes. I also used it at a school dance in the gym and it still rose about 15 feet. If you don't already have a fog machine, this does have decent fog flow and the remote is really nice, but it doesn't mimic dry ice which never rises above waist high. I already have a regular fog machine and I bought this hoping it worked as advertised. I even called ADJ and they admitted the fog will rise once it warms up!
