The DMX-compatible P64 LED PAR can from American DJ is equipped with light emitting diodes that let you create virtually any color via RGB color mixing. Unlike conventional PAR cans which produce a limited number of colors using gel filters, the P64 LED's RGB color-mixing process combines red, green, and blue LEDs to create any desired shade. The P64 LED is equipped with 151 LEDs (51 red, 49 green, 51 blue).

Practical and versatile, the P64 LED can be operated in three modes: auto mode, sound active mode, or DMX control mode.

In auto mode, the P64 LED will automatically display a smoothly scrolling chase of colors the rate of which can be controlled via a speed knob on the unit. In sound active mode, the unit will react to the music and display color chases through different built-in programs.

The third option to operate the unit is the DMX control mode. With its 6 DMX channels you can control each individual trait using a standard DMX-512 controller. In this mode, the electronic 0-100 percent dimming and the RGB color mixing let you adjust the brightness of each color, the bright/dim sequencing of the colors, the color mixing, and the strobing to create a show completely customized to your needs.

The P64 LED has a wider beam diameter designed for larger staging applications such as theatrical performances, church productions, or concerts. The fixture comes with a hanging bracket that can support suspended applications.

A Great Wash Light

This is the first stage/dj light I've ever purchased, and I'm really glad this is what I bought. Although this light doesn't offer a master/slave mode (offered in the PRO model), it does fine on its own. Just two of these are even more than I need to light up a full drum set and a keyboard. This is a great light for musicians who hate the excessive heat of normal par cans!

A great light!!!!I thought I would need six of these lights. but two fill the hole stage. Down side, no yellow or white.but the six dmx channels are red ,green ,blue, all colors, strobe and chase which i find usless.but all and all this is the best light for the money. I plan to buy two more for bigger shows.

Purchased a Blem unit at a great discounted price (scratch on the rear of unit). This thing is incredible and works flawlessly. I was worried about the brightness (or possible lack of) with the LED's but was pleasantly surprised with how bright it is,...real bright. I've been lugging a tree of 4-Par 38 cans around and have now retired them for this single can. Brighter, cleaner, alot easier to gig with and the heat is gone! Technology is a good thing!

We bought 4 of these with the dmx controller for stage lighting in our small high school theater. Heat from regular pars was a major concern, and these give off no heat and more effects than we needed, plus no replacement bulbs to buy. In the long run, they will be cheaper for us. Good buy.

If you can afford it...buy this light! I had the intention of getting four par-64 cans for a light show but took a chance on one of these LED cans to test the proverbial water. I can tell you, it is worth every penny! The color saturation, brightness, DMX capability, cool running temperture, virtually non-existent power draw, light weight, professional looks...wow! I could go on and on about this product. I am going to buy a second unit, and the two should cover an area with as much light as four traditional cans with the use of optical diffusers. This way, I will not cook my band, nor blind them either!
