Best Bass Enhancer Ive heard of!!!!!

I have used this in a church with 2 flown jbl 12" with horn and it sounds like we have a sub but we don't. I used it in a gym over my pa one day which consists of 2 Yamaha club 15s with horn and 2 double 18" sub cabs and it sounds like I have a 4 clubs and 4 dual 18's and it doesn't tax my amps too hard either. Buy this you will be surprised how well it sounds. I run it just like it says in the manual with an eq coming out frome the mixer.

Moved Up from an Acoustic Exciter

I was using an Aphex acoustic exciter (pedal) with my acoustic / electric guitars (Gibson Chet Atkins, Guild Peregrine) for live and home recording. I liked it, but wanted to move all my stuff into a rack...so I went for the 204 and have been very happy with it. It makes a HUGE difference on my guitar sound. Oddly enough, I don't think it does anywhere near as much for live vocals - and it is a bit noisy in that application. Maybe better for recording vocals?

Great product

I am always skeptical reading other people's reviews before trying out a product myself. So, upon reading as much as I could, I decided to purchase this unit. Within minutes to setting this up and playing through it, I noticed a significant change, and for the better. I do not know why I haven't been using this all along. Aphex is a great name, and they stand beside it. They have never failed me. If you want a great product at a low price, get this unit. But, don't just take my word for it, try it out yourself.

This is the best sound enhancement I ever used. It does everything what it said. You don't need to add a subwoofer to your system, it will definitely improved the punch power to your existing set of speakers. I am an architect not a pro musician or recording engineer, but I can really tell you that this thing will make a difference to your system, it's like having a new & improved system.

the missing piece of the sound

i've been a dj for 15 years, and i can't tell you how i wish i had known about this device earlier. i saw it for the first time in a showroom display friday, it was demonstrated to me, and i had to have it. i use it through a QSC mx2000a amp and a pair of phonic impression 215 speakers and it makes them sound like speakers twice the price. (and size) i get compliments on the sound now. it makes the highs clearer, without being harsh like an eq. and it adds bottom but not boom (what ever that song calls for)and it does it without robbing my amp of a lot more power! i also have a jbl balcony series theatre speaker system and don't really use the powered sub all that much anymore.the aphex makes the 4 inch woofer sound like a 10 inch! (that's right... i said it!) instructions are really clear and go into detail about the many different applications that can be use with the 204. this is the piece of the sound puzzle i've been missing! now my eq needs just minimal tweeking at most, and is set 90% flat. the tuning takes some getting use to, but you will know when you hit that "sweet spot" that matches your system and the sound you like. down side:you can over do it and splurge on highs and lows that sound extreme, but still no overtones. the sound varies from hollow mids, sizzling highs with well rounded full bodied bass to shallow and dry like a bose speaker and everything in between!
