No Firewire!

Mac's are still the best computers available, especially with Leopard. It just works.

But this new MacBook does NOT have Firewire. If you have Firewire accessories, especially AD converters like those from Digidesign and others, this computer will NOT work for you.

Also, USB external drives may not allow the throughput you need for multitrack audio: USB 2.0 spec's out at the same speed as FW400, but USB is word oriented (FW is blocks), and needs computer CPU intervention for each short transfer. FW is a BUSS interface and runs faster on disk type data.
