horrible support / good sounds

first off, i am specifically speaking of my experience with analog factory (not the experience with keyboard) software... some people may have had great success with it, i however was not one. i am an apple certified technical coordinator as well as an mcse and network and a+ certified tech, so i have some knowledge of installing software, etc... when i got this i was excited to get going with my radium49 and start to record some "moog sounds"... there is a licensing key that is the first hurtle that i had to overcome. horrible. it falsely recognized my operating system and would not let me use the licensing feature which = no can use. after getting no response from the support team (which is in france), i found a distributor that gave me a couple of links which required 2 more downloads. did not solve the problem... then the support team (which is not the most expedient in replying to support issues finally contacted me. they offered up 2 suggestions on things to try, one that was already done by the california distributor and the other that didn't work (took 2 weeks for that useless effort!) then finally after telling them that the product sucks and i wanted my money back, i finally got a response (2 weeks later) and tried what they suggested - IT WORKED!! except that the only way i could get it to work was by opening it through the terminal (similar to dos-prompt for PC users)... so know not only do i have to open it with command line interface terminal, i have a terminal window that will not hide itself and will not quit once i quit analog factory. luckily i know unix so i was able to write an apple script that will hide the terminal and also have had to write a script to close terminal upon quitting of analog factory!!! the program now works and it is cool, but a pain to have gotten it to launch properly... i should send them a bill, but i am sure that as long as it took support to respond they would take forever to submit!! ha!ha so in summary... cool program, horrible support, and a load of headaches! spend 2 grand on a real synth and avoid the ulcers!!
