For most of my recording, I don't need a lapel mic. But, when I do, it's nice to have this little gem. Of course, it's not the sound of a mic. costing many hundreds of dollars more, but it's clean, and offers a very reasonably accurate representation of the sound recorded. Most sound gets touched up in the long run anyway so, what the hey. If you need a lapel mic. Now and then, grab one and know you're covered.
