I bought these about 6-8 months ago. During this time I must've dropped these things about 20 times and they still work perfectly. They're not as comfortable as others I've used that are in the same size range but they're more durable. In my experience they arent that good for mixing but great for vocals.

I am a discerning listener and I wanted a very good pair of headphones for home listening. My father already had a lot of the other high-end Audio-Technicas and after trying those I ordered the ATH-A900. I was not at all disappointed. I actually prefer these to some of their more expensive, limited-edition brothers. They have great, high-quality sound, tight lows and realistic, punchy highs. I would definitely recommend these to anyone!
