If you want a cheap pair of cans, go for the M2x instead, they have much much better bass response and the cable is like a mile long. The only thing wrong with them is they are on-ear and not over-ear. Seriously, they sound way better.

If you want quality, go for the M40s or M50s.

The M20s are a weird compromise between the two and I don't recommend them at all.

I got a pair of these for free as a promotional gift. The isolation really isn't bad -- I actually use them for overdubs quite a bit, and they can handle a decent amount of volume. But the sound quality is pretty poor. Even compared to the Sony headphones I bought from Kmart years ago.

If you want something cheap for doing some overdubs, these might not be a bad pick. But stay away from them if you plan to do any mixing because they do not sound good. I wouldn't even recommend them for casual listening if you care about audio quality.

VERY comfortable. Curly cord. Great looks. Solid build.

First off, I am a recording engineer and I will NEVER use these headphones for mixing or any type of critical listening. However, they are amazingly comfortable and inexpensive so I recommend them to anyone who wants an extra set of cans.

I mostly use them for watching movies or youtube on my laptop. The only time use them in the studio is for the artist to hear themselves for overdubs. I have a separate set of headphones for critical listening. These just came with a package deal so I tried them out and absolutely love them.

Got these headphones as part of a package. They sound very poor in comparison to my Sennheiser HD202s. I have to admit, they are super comfortable although. But for the price, I would pick the Sennheisers instead.

Inconsistent manufacturing?

Reading the reviews on these and comparing my own experience... I wonder if any two pairs of these even sound the same. Some people say they completely lack highs. Some say they are too "tinny" and lack lows and low-mids. In my experience, these headphones are horribly dull-sounding. They sound as if a blanket is thrown over them. I can't imagine that anyone would get the impression that these are "tinny" unless their pair is different from mine. My advice... stay away. The Sennheiser HD 212Pro headphones sound far, far better, are consistent, and only cost a little more.
