The Audio Technica ATW-251 Freeway VHF Guitar Wireless System is designed to provide reliable performance, easy setup and clear, natural sound quality. The Freeway Wireless Microphone System includes the ATW-R250 receiver and the ATW-T201 body-pack transmitter on a specific crystal-controlled frequency. A novel dipole antenna system on the receiver improves operation by providing a ground element in addition to the usual signal element.

ATW-R250 receiver
The ATW-R250 receiver includes a space-saving switching power supply that automatically adapts to changes in mains voltage. Unlike bulky linear power supplies, this switching power supply is lightweight and compact; it uses only a single outlet space.

ATW-T201 UniPak body-pack transmitter
The versatile ATW-T201 UniPak body-pack transmitter has both a high-impedance input for instruments, and a low-impedance input with bias connection for use with dynamic and electret condenser microphones. The ATW-T201 uses internal 9-volt batteries and has an Off/Standby/On switch, input Trim (level) adjustment, and battery-save switch.

This is the second A-T wireless unit I've owned, and it's as low-quality as the first one; they fooled me twice, so shame on me. I do like the packaging, but it only worked for about 2 months and started making noise from about five feet away. No more A-T; save your money and buy Sennheiser. Their packaging isn't as good, but at least they work.

This thing is the biggest piece of junk I may have ever bought. Drop outs.......more like drop ins. This thing doesn't work more than it does. Even standing 15 ft from my rig with nothing between me and my rig this thing doesn't work. The best thing about this system is the case. You can always throw the wireless away and use is to store other stuff.

I got this system not knowing anything about wireless. I went home, got it set up, and the output added distortion to my guitar. I turned down the output in hopes it would fix the problem but all i got was a weaker signal. Seems flimsy too. I would suggest saving up about another $200-$250 and getting a REAL wireless sytem like the Line 6 X2 rackmount system.

I recently tried this system, immediately whn I pluged it in, FUZZ AND FEEDBACK. The reciever doesn't even have an on/off switch. The only good thig is that the body pack seems pretty solid. Save and buy a Sure or Eclectrovoice wireless system. You'll be glad you did.
