I got this mic with the Audix Fusion7 drum mic kit, and it has seen some good use. I've recorded multiple songs with it and it can hold its own for recording purposes, very clean sound for a kick drum, it may require a little eq tweaking but not nearly as much as other mics. If you have trouble getting good sound on a kick drum with this, get a better kick drum, it's most likely not this mic that's the problem. Where I've really like this one is micing bass cabs, no EQ needed at all for a good rock or metal bass sound with some accentuated highs. The only thing I'd change is not having the stand mount permanently attatched, but that's not too big of an issue. Overall this mic will deliver great results for home or project studio engineers that know what they are doing, if you can't get the sounds you want with this guy then you are doing something wrong.

I got this mic because I was using a Shure 57 instrument/vocal mic and wanted to get a REAL bass drum mic. And I'm so glad I did! This mic is absolutely great, it makes my kick sound so awesome through my band's PA. And you CANNOT BEAT THIS PRICE!! So if you need a super high quality kick mic and don't want to spend a ton of cash for those other high priced mics, BUY THIS MIC!!!
