F-15 (Condensors) Rating 10 out of 10! Excellent tone for overhead cymbals or close to the hi-hat. I also use them to mic acoustics, banjo's, and fiddles. I've even used them to mic the local theater's stage performances. Really incredible mics.

F-10 (Snare, Toms) 8 out of 10. Have a deep low tone w/ little EQing needed. Great for bass cab as well.

F-12 (Bass/Kick) 3 out of 10. Totally useless for micing the kick! However, it makes a floor tom GROWL! I used a Sennheiser e602 a month ago nd it blew away this F-12. Get a Audix D6, Sennheiser e602, or a Shure 52 and you're set.

Overall these are a great value...just add a kick mic and you're set!!!

I've been using these mics in live situations for over a year and they are very good for the money. They don't match to the more-expensive D-series, but you get what you pay for. The kick mic is about useless for kick and is best used for floor tom. The overheads and tom mics sound very nice and clean and work great though.

I have used them in for recording as well and the work great for that too.

Looking for a great sounding and quality mic set that wont break the bank? Look no further. Unfortunitly, there are no clips or cables, but thats no biggie. The f1o tom/snare mics sound good and are very small. Not as small as my f-90's, but small none the less. The f12 "kick" mic deffenitly isnt a d-6, but its better than most in its price range. However, if your looking for really low tone, get something like the f-14 or d-6, or the pg52 or beta 52, or even the 112. The f12 is ok, but not amazing. What is amazing are the f15 overheads. they are very clear and crisp, and they have a built in clip.

This mics are simply the best. They work really good with any nice tuned drums. The F12's sound better on the floor Tom than the brass drum, I don't know why it is advertized as a brass drum mic too. Other than that the mics are GREAT!!!!

These mics are versitile! I bought the 6 piecer and a D6. The first few test recordings i only used a D6 and the f15 because the rim mounts clips havent come in yet. I was IMPRESSED. My lead guitar, who has years of experience in recording, was impressed with the quality the two mics put out. We used a f12 for the bass cab; also impressed. very nice for the budget recording engineer. I am 100% satisfied with this product. You will be too.
