I have had this mic for about a year and a half and i love it...I do all my recordings either in my kitchen or in my bedroom and i get really clear recordings. The only problem is that this mic is TOO GOOD. It picks up everything, when i say everything, i mean everything. Overall, great brand, great mic...

I've used many different mics of better quality, mostly Rodes and Shures, and have found that the B-2 is actually quite good for the money. It's clearly an entry level mic. However you can achieve some great recordings with it when used in a couple specific ways. I have found this mic is best for dark/deep sounding acoustic guitars, particularly when finger picked. Whenever I use it with my mahogany top Guild it sounds incredible. I never have to add any effects or Equalizing except for obviously the high and low end roll off. The other thing I found it works really well with is Bongos and Congas. I captured a shockingly full and crisp recording when I tried the B-2. I found it works decently with electric guitars with certain tones, but nothing to call home about. You could just buy the SM57 for the same amount of money and get almost professional electric guitar recordings. Overall I think it is a great mic for the price.

I still can't believe how amazing this mic is for loud male vocals. incredible. In general behringer products are complete garbage... but the frequency response on this mic is impeccable for the type of aesthetic that I strive for... that is solid classic/vintage dirt.

For the price, there's nothing to argue about. I've never felt such warmth in a microphone before and it gives a precise amount of quality you need. I have it running through the BOSS BR-900CD Digital Recorder, and I've recorded 4 albums with it. I mic my acoustic, electric, acoustic bass, vocals, and sometims my piano with this thing. I've never had such a great microphone for this price, and i own 2 Blue mics!

I've used this mic for several recording sessions over the last few years, and found it to contribute a rich, warm tone to the recording. It is also very sensitive, reliable and noise-free. There is a switch on the body of the mic that allows you to vary it's output sound, and it works pretty well. The case that it came with included an anti-vibration mount and wind screen, which is very handy if you are an amateur musician like myself, and don't want to spend alot on auxiliary gear, like cables, stands, etc.. I have used this mic as a substitute for a Shure SM-57 which I used to record vocals with in my studio. Since it requires phantom power, I use it through a Behringer mixing board before going directly into a Tascam Portastudio 5. It always gives me the sound I'm looking for. I intend to use it in the future to mic a Hammond M3 organ for recording. Behringer products are excellent!
