Good while it Lasted!

I bought a pair of these in 2004, brand new, from this website. As a pair, they soundedd great! I have used them on everything from vocals to overheads on drums to bass mics, and kick drum mics and guitar cabs. Even used them to finish a recording for an engineering class at home and no one knew. now, 5 years later, with normal abuse, they are junk. One still works but the metal casing is loose, and the other has acquired a bit of a filtered sound. still use them for practice recordings, but could not use in a professional setting.

Really, go with Rode or AT, they have nice inexpensive models. Behringer is a gamble. I went through several of these, they all sounded different.

Not A Bad Microphone

I received this B-2 as a Christmas gift and I have to say I have been impressed. The ability to change patterns is nice and the low cut filter is an added plus. So far the only thing we have tried this on has been vocals in the studio and it performs good in that capacity. I have no reason to believe it would not perform well as an instrument microphone as well.

To sum it all up the B-2 is an excellent microphone for the money. It's not a Neumann or an AKG but it's not a bad investment at all! A good all purpose condenser mic!
