Ive owned 2 of these speakers for 6 months and they are impressive.I use them as monitors in my band. If we arent careful they will overpower our mains. The really cool thing is one was recently dropped, and it still works.

I bought a pair of B212a's, to use as monitors with a 4 piece 60's/Beatles group. Set up FOH to compare to Peavey 12's with a Crown amp. Awesome! Better bass, much more punch! I bought 4 more, to use as 4 seperate monitors (we are very vocal oriented) and 2 FOH. First time was outdoors, with AC30's, etc. Ran my keyboard rig through them, as well. Had to keep turning them down - loud! Ran non-stop in the sun for 4 hours, didn't skip a beat. Setup? 10 minutes! No more grunting heavy amps! I could pack an AC30, full keyboard rig, full PA, several guitars - all in a small SUV - and be more than loud enough for an outdoor gig! Sure, these aren't Mackie quality - but plenty good for the average band. For the price of FOH Mackies, I got 4-way monitors and stereo FOH. Behringer is definitely getting better at this.

I bought 1 B212A to use for vocals in my small practice space. I liked the sound quality and ease of use so much that I bought another to use with a small mixer as a PA for vocals and acoustic guitar. Then the trouble began.

First, one speaker started to crackle a bit and was far more quite than the other. I called Behringer - they gave me a return authorization number and directed me to send the speaker in to their repair center. 3 months later I got my speaker back. In the meantime I foolishly bought another so we could play shows. Again, we're only running vocals and acoustic through these things and not too loud.

Now, another speaker has blown. It just gurgles, pops, and hums. I plan on sending it in tomorrow. My dime of course. Not sure what to do at this point.

Impressive budget PA

As a church planter on a tight budget I needed a simple compact PA solution. Having purchased other PA systems in the past I really wanted to go with a molded active speaker for easier setup in this case, but the cost of SRM's was out of reach for our tight budget. I decided to try the B212A's and I am really pleased with the purchase. I'm still impressed each time I play some music through these. There is a lot of volume available, the highs are crisp, there's a nice full body to the sound with no mud, and a surprising punchy low-end for a 12" speaker. Overall a very nice articulate sound which will allow one to hear more separation of musical parts than on many other systems. Compact enough to haul in any vehicle and light enough for a small person to setup. Combined with a small Behringer Xenyx mixer and there is no noticable background noise or hiss, just a nice clean sound which will serve a small audience very well with minimal hassles during setup. For well under $1000 (including mixer, stands, cables) these will provide a very acceptable PA for many applications. These would also serve well as wedge monitors or for a heavier sound could be supplemented with a sub, leaving many options available to use these down the road, so they'll adapt with changing needs. Great purchase!

B212A Rock!

I Purchased the a pair of B212A's about one week ago and I just got back from a dj gig. I played in a hall about 70x60 and plugged in a pair of the B212A alone first before I hooked up the mains (Phonic 2-2x15 cabs w/horns) just to see what all the hoopla was about. The sound was totally full range and filled the room (empty with hard walls) with volume at just under peaking level, it wasn't chest pounding or anything, but for just being two twelve's, I actually caught myself smiling when I stepped out in front of them. I have to say these things are going to put Behringer on the map. I've heard some negitivity toward Berhinger about the quality of thier equipment in the past, but they seem to be doing something right. The sound was punchy, crystal clear, and loud; so loud, the cabinets rattled just a little with the beat of the music. I ended up using them together with my mains instead of monitors like I planned, they made a difference in the volume. I played them at capacity for 3hrs straight and they didn't even cough once! The 4.5 is for the rattling. I hope to get another pair soon! These are killer!
