I got the Behringer EUROPOWER PMP3000 and right off the bat I was disappointed. I have a cheap Kustom system that I've used before and this was barely louder. We used this mixer in my basement during practice to power acoustic guitar and vocals running the main outs into some monitors. It absolutely does not cut through the drums and guitars. The switch that allows you to switch modes (stereo, double mono, bridged mono) did absolutely nothing. It's possible that I was sent a faulty unit but either way it didn't work how I had hoped. The effects, features, and overall layout of the board was as good, or probably better than other systems that are similarly priced. But, bottom line is it just wasn't loud enough.

Most of us here are musicians, not sound techs. So with that being said, we need to do our homework when researching a piece of equipment. You go buy a new guitar, drums whatever you're going to play on it first right? Well, we can't really do that with live equipment so much so knowing how the equipment works and what it is capable of is the first thing to consider. This mixer gets overall good reviews and it should for what it is. For the price you are getting a very nice mixer, with very quality effects and many other "need to have" pro features all in one package. Now the amplifier is not a powerhouse, but it will suit the needs for practice and smaller venues. If you combine that with the upgrade capabilities...it makes for a great starter package. My band uses this for mainly vocals and drums, but it can easily be expanded on latter in the future when we need more power. We now also have a 12 channel mixer to have for recording or other ideas. At practice we can run regular stereo power, at shows we need to run mono (daisy-chain our 2 8ohm cabs at 4ohms off the left channel). Not briged...that's different. Basically long story short, don't blame a good piece of equipment when puchasing an item that doesn't fullfill your needs. When added up, a mixer, eq, effects processor and practice amp...this is a great package at a nice price and has performed well for us...feedback eliminator, no humm, no problems. Set it up and use it properly and you will have a great system. I give it all around 4 stars. Also the only problems I had with this unit was how they labeled and decribed the power. Seems like they have changed that, it is now more realitic at 215 watts per channel at 8 ohms.

got about 6 months ago. traded a 600 dollar G/C bass amp for this.. played 90% for playback for my drumming. somehow this pile managed to catch a short on the power wire and make its way through the amp. fried one of my speakers in the process
if you want something good, get something made in america.. or at least something you can get PARTS for in america.

After almost 5 months, the PMP3000 is performing wonderfully. Our quartet sings to tracks & from day 1 we have gotten nothing but good feedback about our system. We are pushing 2-B212XL's & 2-B215XL's while using SM86's & Beta 87a vocal mics. Other singers have used our system & the only comments have been to the effect of, "This really sounds good" or "Who do I need to talk to about that board"? We have been very pleased with the performance & have no reason to believe that the future is bright while using this unit. We should have no problem filling a 400 seat room but with the features of the PMP3000 I see no reason we can't just add to what we have & easily double that. Behringer has been a very good bang for my buck!

No Power

Well, when I first purchased this mixer it was getting great reviews. Admittedly, the mixer is not ALL bad. Good value, fairly durable (fell off a stool onto concrete and kept working), decent FX processor.
The problem is that it does NOT power as advertised. No matter how much I would crank the gain, my vocals could never cut through the mix of the guitars, causing me to holler and blow my voice out fairly often.
I have 2 15" Behringer speakers and this thing was not pushing them nearly well enough. Now I had to dip in and bouth a nice strong QSC amp. Hopefully that will do the trick.
If you need to push some serious volume, consider something different. If you're playing something less loud, this may be a good buy for you.
