Works great for drum mics

I bought this item a few months ago in an effort to ease the hassles of mixing drum microphones and free up some of the channels I was hogging on our main mixer. At first I didn't think it as going to work out, their "ultra low-noise" claim didn't seem to ring so true(lots of hiss), but after a bit of experimenting and tweaking it works awesom giving total level control for all mics and only takes one stereo input on our main mixer.

This is my second Behringer mixer. I have one of their table top versions, but wanted something to mount in the rack for live use. As w/ my other Behringer mixer, everything is first rate, & an unbelievable value. I'm surprised w/ the reviewer that had all the dead channels...I've never heard of Behringer stuff having issues like that. (I wonder if he saw that they come from the factory panned hard left, but since he said only 5, I'm guessing he caught that unless the other 3 were mono feeds??).

Anyway, what you get for the money is amazing. I'm using it to mix a laptop, Roland U110 & U220, & a Zoom FX unit via the send. For the returns, I'm using channels 15/16. I can't hear any noise introduced by the mixer. The lit mute button/clip light is ingenious, & the 4/10 gain switches for the inputs is a great bonus in this price range, as is the ability to route the bus through the phone jack. Behringer always throws in great stuff like that. The range/incrementing of the controls is great...very smooth & gradual, & the meters are very accurate.

I can't say anything bad about this mixer. For what its supposed to do, it excels.

I purchased 2 of these mixers about a month ago and find that they will have to go back for repair or exchange. It's taken that long to configure my rack with enough devices to plug in but now I find that one unit had 3 bad channels straight out of the box and the rest are noisy so did not hook it up at all.

The other unit has every right channel missing (non-functional) on 5 of the eight channel pairs in a configuration where I am using (Ex.) Channel 1 as L and Channel 2 as R.

First purchase and am very unhappy, dissatisfied, and sorry I counted on Behringer for a quality piece of gear.

First of all this mixer do not change the sound of the of your instrument. What's in is out. For a mixer in this proce range is an excelent achievement. This mixer is very quite too. I own a MO6, Alesis QS6.1, Roland E-09, Emu Proteus FX Yamaha TX81Z and Reason, I needed a mixer that could hanlde all and is great that you can added to your rack. Is an excelent mixer I'm very impress with the quality.
