This was my first piece of actual musical or recording hardward other than mics and headphones. Other than this, everything I have used is digital but I must say, this is a must buy for the starting musician. It's absolutely perfect. It's hard to believe I ever recorded without it.

An OK mixer for small projects

I picked this tiny mixer up a week ago to use as a sub mixer for monitoring.

It's Behringer, a name I normally don't trust too much but for what I'm using this for I say it's ok to stay in my studio.

The preamp is a little noisy so turning it too high will give poor results. The LED meter is tiny and something you cant really use for good results. The knobs/POTs feel cheap but you have to remember, this is only a low end mini mixer.

If you are looking for pro. results, get something else but for me this little mixer works well.

I just got this in the mail today and is it awesome!! I have my keyboard hooked up to the second channel input and my drum microphone in the mono channel input. The sound is great, clean and clear, and I like how it has a headphone monitoring jack. It is in my home studio- it is a great mixer especially for the price!!

My first and last mixer

This was what i first started recording with a few years ago when i was first getting into music. I liked it a lot at first, cause it did what i needed it to. However, I recall a lot of noise on the first channel when you turned the gain up at all, and I was very dissapointed about that. After using an interface, i'm staying digital. No more analog mixers for me. But if you need something cheap to track with and you're just starting out... this will do what you need it to do, but i recommend checking out a cheap 2 input USB interface.

I bought this to use as a mixer for my personal in-ear monitors. It functions well, but if you plan on gigging with it, transport it a well-padded case/bag because the plastic knobs look kinda cheap, like they could easily break off if mishandeled. A good lil mixer for the price.
