Sonic excellence and a full complement of mixing and sound modification tools.
The SX3242FX EURODESK mixer is designed to meet the needs of studio and live mixing applications, with a comprehensive set of features that combine sonic excellence and a full complement of mixing & sound modification tools.
This 4-bus audio mixer features ultralow noise, high-headroom XENYX microphone preamps. Mono input channels feature three-band, semi-parametric mid-range EQ with Neo-classic "British" response. Behringer 's stereo input channels provide precise four-band equalization. Each input has four aux sends with two sends switchable between pre/post fader, for a flexible mix of monitor and effects applications.
The EURODESK's external signal processing racks can be largely eliminated, thanks to the two integrated effects processors and stereo 9-band graphic EQ. One-hundred 24-bit / 96kHz studio-quality effects presets can be called-up and assigned to one or both internal effects buses. Main or Monitor output EQ is set and fine-tuned with the intuitive FBQ Feedback Detection display.
When external processing is required, the SX3242FX provides extensive insert patch-points for input channels and main outputs. The Master section offers a wealth of features such as multiple aux and stereo returns, switchable SIP / PFL monitoring, Talkback, metering and more.
The mixer's internal auto-ranging power supply (100 240V), gold-plated XLR output connectors and rugged steel construction ensure that this console will travel anywhere to tackle any recording or mixing task with professional audio quality.

Nice mixer with more features than most live applications need, subs work well, nice selection of aux and eff choices, even a mono send for subs. Can be ran without external EQ but not recommended. Digital effects are very comparable to dedicated rack mount units. Had one channel quit working, so it's good that I have 32. If you use it outside clean it immediately, especially the sliders, seems more sensitive to dirt and dust than other brands, but overall pretty good.

I purchased one of these for my church and in less than two years of use one of the special effect channes is non-functional; the on-board eq switch is damaged; we have been experiencing intermitent signal output loss in the main fader (reflected in a lower left channel)(this we have worked through using tuner lubricant spray every two weeks). We have continued to use it but we are afraid it will continue to break down. We are replacing it. We have had the same type of experience with other Behringer equipment. They are a good value but they malfunction soon after we atart using them (compressor / limiter; direct boxes). May not continue to buy Behringer.

Typo!

There are 24 mono mic inputs, not 20. Do not dismiss this mixer for having less than 24, as I almost did for use with an Alesis 24 track. I intend to buy this in a few days, and this typo appears in other retailer's catalogs. See the factory pages and get a m PDF manual to confirm for yourself. I did, and am glad of it.

This mixer is zero defect and gets daily useage in my studio. I have only gigged with it once, but it was just fine. Pound for pound, there is nothing even close. The sound quality is crystal clear, the controls are firm and smoothe. A couple more pre-fader sends would be nice for the extra picky crowd, but I could care less about that. The current trend to "more me in my personal mix" doesn't really float my boat . If it's that important go axiom...and run it off the inserts with proper cables
I am happy with mine, and so is my audience and band-mates, and wallet.

Let me begin by saying this: Any mixer you will buy at a budget driven by a hobby-level musician's needs has comprimoses from the get-go. You will have to decide what your needs are as you shop. This mixer is limited to two legitimate pre-fader sends. This may be a limitation for you. For me, it is not. My needs were..at least 20 xlr inputs with mic pre-amps, a subwoofer output with adjustable low pass filter, and at least two subgroups. For me, the extra two subgroups and xlrs make a third and fourth monitor send possible. For most groups, three will be more than you need. Remember, you need an amp channel for each monitor send too. Budget-minded bands will find this board, or even the 2442 version adequate beyond their needs in many cases.
For me, the added bonus of two effect generators makes my strat sream like my son's SG. The subwoofer out gives me lpf adjustable control and my 31 band eq gives me hpf the same way for my mains. This is all the crossover I need and cleaned my sound up in a truly amazing and very audible way.
The cd break switch mutes everything else with one button...very nice...talkback is very cool as well. It's true, only 2 auxiliary sends pre-fader seems like a cut..but my band was using one before I got this board. Two seems like a luxury to us and three is something we have yet to do. It's a simple patch from insert to line in on unused channels.
Okay...quality. The board is sturdy, the rotary and slide faders are firm and smooth. The switches all feel the same. There is no cheesy feel to anything. None of the horror stories about doa or cheap feel are true here. This board is zero defect to me. The eq has instant, predictable control on every channel. The 9 band eq is predictabley vague, but somewhat usable. The channel effects are all different, not so close you can't tell the difference. Thew guitar simulations introduce the same exact kind of noise and string nuances they would in a guitar amp...very cool. Just like having a guitar amp with effects in it. The dual foot pedal that came with my guitar amp switches the effects channels on and off as advertized, with no delay. Everything works fine...the board has been used daily since i bought it and left on for a few days at a time. It's a quiet, capable board. I love it. Glad I bought it. Two days overtime was a very worthwhile sacrifice for this experiment.
