Amazing sound

Okay, I just got this Ultramizer and added it to my live rack. I don't know much about it yet, because the instructions are crap. I'm setting it up to run monitors mono on one channel and mono mains on the other. I have monitors set up with one of the presets. It makes the sound come through amazingly. So far I can tell this thing definitely EQ's the setup and can actually render my EQ almost ineffective when using the EQ before the Ultramizer, so I may run the EQ after and see how that works. If you don't run an EQ then this thing is all you need. It enhances the frequencies and makes everything sound so great. I love how it makes our music sound, just like studio quality from a live rig - I am very pleased. I'm sure I will love it even more after I dig into all those buttons.

mine sat unused on the rack of about 2 years till i read one of these reviews that mentioned that it can b used as a 2 way active xover . well it can and works quite well now it gets used all the time , however i emailed behringer about the rolloff spec's for the xover section coz there nothing in the spec's in the manual im still waiting to hear back that was 1 year ago, so i ran some pink noise through it and set it up as a crossover and put it in to some spectrum anylisys sofware, results : this unit can b used as a active 2 way 12db/oct xover not bad considring all the other fetures (sometimes wen it gets powered up it blinks random lights and needs to be reset)

i bought the ultramizer and right when i started usein it in recording it immediatly gave me concern. at the start it would randomly cut out and give a hissing sound. that went on for weeks. now whenever I turn it on it just sits on a preset number and blinks random lights. I would not recommend this product at all. I think that Behringer still needs to work on the quality of their products

Big Feedback Issues - This Saved Me

I was mixing sound for community theater in a 50x50' club. We had a 5 piece live band and six wireless vocal mics for the performers. The walls were cement block, the floor was tile and the 11' ceiling was hard. This was reverb and feedback hell. I could never get the vocal mics as loud as the pit band without massive feedback. I added this box, used one of the factory set-ups, and with minimal tuning we were in business. Loud, clean and levels capped with no feedback. This box saved my show.

The price of this piece is fantastic!! The functions are perfect for any application. I love Behringer products but they need more detail in their manuals. The manual has a couple of misguided directions. I ran into the same problem as one of the reviewers (Adkins from WV), he mentions that his unit started flashing and stayed in this mode and will not release from this mode and has become useless, I hope he reads this. The manual needs to be upgraded and these functions need to be explained properly. To release it from this mode, simply push and hold the buttons labeled LEFT and RIGHT at the same time. When both lights are lit, press and hold the EXCITER button for 2 seconds, if a light goes on, simply do it again, it will go out. Repeat this for the RIGHT button as well. Listen to what happens with headphones, it becomes an active 2 way crossover, dividing the lows from the highs!! How cool!!!The machine is supposed to fuction this way but the manual does not explain it properly. The machine is not broke. Though I can see how Adkins felt it might be. The unit is terrific and it works better than a compressor limiter for beefing up, sweetening, and fattening your mixes. Use it in the pro mode with the (+4 switch) on rear input, the headroom is 24 db's, no pumping if adjusted properly and speed set to 25!! Beautiful!!!
