I have had a pair of these for about three years, as everyone else says, they broke on me. I had not read all the reviews about the breakage being a known problem, I thought my daughter did it, or I would have sent them to Bose have them replaced.
As far as the sound goes, THEY SOUND GREAT! I use them to practice drums with a Roland V-Durm set, through a mixer with a CD. I have a few other pairs of headphones, and I have never found anything else that comes close.
I have just used super glue to fix them when they broke, it holds them together for about a year. Until I find something else as good I will keep using them, However I would like them a lot more if they cost about fifty bucks.

All You'll Ever Need

I bought these headphones around 3 years ago, and they have fantastic noise cancelling, and fantastic sound quality. They fit extremely comfortably, and you can wear them for hours and hours without irritating your ears. Just like everyone else seemed to say, my earpiece connector plastic thing broke, but unlike everyone else on here, I called Bose and they had me just send them back what was broken and sent me BRAND NEW HEADPHONES! If that isn't customer service, I don't know what is! Everyone here just said they "broke and went to pick up another pair", but I called in and they exceeded my expectations for accomadations as far as fixing the problem went. These headphones are the only headphones you'll ever need, I've had the replaced headphones for years now and nothing seems to waver, everything seems solid and they seem to have fixed whatever flimsy plastic problem they had. Don't hesitate to buy these, I got them for $400 when they first came out, and this is a highly reduced price. Hope this was helpful, and good luck deciding!

These things break very easily. They are not designed to go on the road. They break extremely easy. Other than that, the sound quality is really good and the do reduce a little noise, but not much. I wouldn't recomend these at all.

I had the same problem with the headset crumbling after about a year. I ended up buying a new pair and promptly returning the old one with the reciept of the new ones since they would not honor the warranty. Hey for the price they'd better last.

Upgrade broken headphones

I had a pair of QC2s which I loved for about 3 years. The piece connecting the earphones broke in 2 places which I was able to fix with electrical tape. Didn't look that bad actually. On a flight one ear piece broke off compleely. After being upset I went to a Bose store and they upgraded them to QC3s. The way they broke is a known issue. I thought that they were extremely fair since I had used them for 3 years.
