The 4-channel Intimidator 1.0 DMX-512 intelligent scanner features a combined dichroic color/gobo wheel with 14 gobos plus open and 18 colors plus white, strobing, 180° pan in .5 sec., 90° tilt in .3 sec, and Smart Link. A surface-coated mirror ensures optimum luminosity. Sound-active (standalone), master/slave, and DMX modes. Standalone mode is activated automatically when a DMX signal is absent and the Intimidator will run through its diverse range of built-in sound-active programs. Master/slave mode lets you daisy-chain as many units you want in a synchronized light show to the sound. DMX control mode gives you the greatest flexibility and creativity. Each fixture trait can be controlled individually using any universal DMX-512 controller. The Intimidator's double bracket yoke doubles as a floor stand. Bulb saver cuts off after 10 seconds.

I own two of these, and for the price, you cannot complain. Even though the gobo and color wheels are not separate, you still can have a lot of fun and have a decent light show. If you don't want to spend too much, or don't have a big need, these lights are perfect for you!

Notice that the number of colors and gobos are somewhat decptive. There is only one color/gobo wheel- each gobo is only one color. Not bad quality if thats what youre looking for.

I DO NOT recomend this light. I have had it for a couple months now, and at first I was impressed but then.. I turned the focusing ring and it shattered. The plastic just shattered into like 4 peices, the glass, rings, and peices of plastic fell down into the unit. I had to take it apart and superglue it back together. I called Chauvet and they are spose to be sending me a new part. I am still not satisfied, I am never buying chauvet products again.

I started by testing with 1 unit and I now own 6. I am familiar with many expensive brands from Martin to High End. Sure a unit for lots more money will do more but this little unit holds its own. I founnd that if you set it up with the bulbs that are good for only 50 hours vs the bulbs that are good for 300 hrs you get the best bright light. They are very durable and cheap to maintain. I have used these lights for many different uses and I am never dissapointed. they are more than a DJ light for dances. I could go on and on but I just say you cant ask for more from a light as inexpensive as this. These units also get used in illusion shows too. Very versatile.
