A Great Power Amp

I bought this amp to push a set of Wharfedale 300 watt 15's. I was going to buy another Peavey PV900, because I already have one, and am familiar with it. For a few dollars more, I got this amp with twice the wattage! When I hooked it up, I knew that I had made the right choice. It is very clean, and more powerful than the Peavey.

As far as the 8 star rating for features, I had to give it this as it only has XLR inputs and does not have 1/4 outputs. But I knew that when I bought it, and Speakon to 1/4 adapters are cheap. I gave it a 9 star rating for quality, because I haven't had it that long.

Overall, well worth the money.

I have used this amp for my mains (Powering some Yamaha's on sticks)in a small room (50-100 people) as well as for monitors (Powering Yorkville wedges) and I love it! It has been kicked, bumped, and used indoor and out and it has never once flinched. I totally recommend it to anyone looking for a solid, great sounding amp.

I literally had the amp on for 15 minutes when the fan blade became detached from the motor - there is a STICKER holding the fan together replaced it myself with a hard piece of plastic and glue - not the kind of workmanship I would have expected from Crown.

Had to replace the amp for my gig with a 25 year old Crate amp/mixer, funny.
