Fostex PM0.4 Powered Studio Monitors
Fostex employs the latest cone material technology to obtain extremely pure music reproduction with the PM 0.4 powered monitors. Biamplification provides 18W to the 4" LF drivers and 18W to the extremely responsive 5/8" soft-dome tweeters. I bought this a few weeks ago. This thing runs great. The speakers,mic,and cables are cheap but work decently. I purchased it for the Pro Tools software. It runs smoothly. The new plugins are AWESOME. I read other reviews here about Pro Tools 8 install issues. Here's my experience; I built a PC for $350 to run ProTools. Its a AMD Ath. 64x2 Dual core. 2.6ghz w/ 2gigs of ram. I have had NO problems, and I work on it about 10hrs a day. I do plan on upgrading my computer pwr supply from 350watts to about 500w, to run all the USB gear.(interfaces, keyboard cntrlrs,dual monitors,ext. drive,ect) Pro Tools LE software is fantastic, I am very impressed. This is a great entry level package. I upgraded from an older version of cakewalk. This was worth the money spent!

It is what it is......... I've owned a Protools TDM system since the early/ mid 90's and just came down to Souix Falls to record and setup an old friend's new home studio. He purchaced this package. I'll tell you.... It is what it is... This is a FANTASTIC package for someone sick and tired of paying for studio time and well, time in it's self. The only negatives that I have are computer based. I spent 2 whole days working the bugs out. Do NOT use a laptop for this and READ the minimum sys requirements. Unless you are a systems engineer (which I AM) Vista (Home Premium) will give you nothing but problems and Digi does not support it. But with that out of the way. I think you'd be hard pressed to build a package as good as this for almost twice the money (adding in the reasearch, analysis, and once again....... Time). This is truely a beginners dream. All the work has been done for you and the plugin bundle rocks. Buy this.... BUY THIS NOW!!!
