You do not want to buy this.. at first I thought it was not a big deal to buy a cheap wireless but it really screws you over.. I play with a ESP ltd ec-1000 along with a tube amp and this wirless takes away all of the tone. It has even ruined one of my bands performance at chain reaction in anaheim. Constant buzzes along with muddying the sound. I realy hope no one will make the same mistake that I did. I really don't want any one else wasting money the same way. It's realy not worth it.

Way too much white noise. Buy something else.

I set up and connected this unit according to the instructions with new AA Alkaline batteries, using my Les Paul and Marshall DSL-401. I found this unit to produce an unnacceptible amount of white noise. The noise was constant, and there was nothing I could do to change it. When I plug the guitar directly into the amp, it is completely noiseless. The bodypack would produce additional RF noise when I waved my hand around the antenna. I've owned two wireless units in the past- a Nady 201 and a cheaper Nady Encore II, and they both were VHF and worked flawlessly for years. I'm going to return this and try something a little more expensive. If that doesn"t work out, I'm going back to cables.

Bought this a couple months ago and I'm having the time of my life. I never thought it would be so much fun not being tied to a guitar cable. When I play I'm usually moving around but now there's no telling where in the club you might find me. A couple of weeks ago I was on top the bar wailing away at a local club. The peeps dug it. Yeah, it did change my tone a little bit but I know how to EQ so no big problem there and the Xmitter & Receiver are made of cheap plastic, what do you want for the price? This is a great deal and so far the best investment I've made in a long time. Now get out of my way, I'm coming thru.

I've been using the Digital Reference DR-2505 for about a month now and I'm extremely happy with the unit. I'll start with the down side. Yeah, it changes your tone a little. I play a Strat thru a 65 Twin RE and the sound is real "tinny" on the bridge p/u. Big deal, I adjusted the eq on my amp. The xmitter & reciever are made of plastic. Not the best quality but I pack my gear really well so this isn't going to be an issue. These things are minor compared to the fun I've had gigging with it. I can run all over the club, get out with the peeps and put on a SHOW Baby. Last night I was on top the bar wailing away. I wish I'd bought a wireless rig years ago. For the price this is just what I needed.
