The Dynaudio Acoustics BM15A Active Studio Monitor offers exceptional performance in mid-to-near field monitoring applications. Its full-range response with extended, accurate bass support makes the BM15A an outstanding monitor for commercial studios, project studios, and post production facilities. This 2-way monitor features a 10" woofer, a special version of the Dynaudio ESOTEC soft dome tweeter, and an electronic phase-aligned crossover which feeds dual high-performance discrete MOSFET amplifiers.

The ESOTEC HF driver has a dynamic headroom of 1000W and the LF driver has a 4" aluminium-alloy voice coil which gives it powerful output and punch beyond its size. The electronics also offer complex protection circuitry helping to prevent accidental damage to the drivers while still providing maximum transient response. The cabinet of the BM15A monitor is front ported for powerful and extended low frequency response. The front panel features radiused edges and an elegant matte finish.

I've had the pleasure of using the BM 15A's for 2 years now as Recording Engineer for Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua's nationally syndicated radio program - TENT SHOW RADIO. I record up to five live shows a week all summer long - (for over 12 years now)- and listening fatigue can be a problem with inferior, harsh, or strident monitors. The BM15A's have the smooth and accurate sound I'm looking for and still sound sweet at the end of the night whether I'm recording rock, blues, jazz, country or bluegrass. The imaging is fantastic and post production is minimal due to their accuracy (even when mixing at fairly loud levels). I highly recommend them for near to medium field monitors and wonder how I ever lived with out them.
