I've been using this controller for a few years, and it is a nice small easy to learn device. It doesnt have large features such as a 'go' button, or many channels. But great for musicians and djs!

Great out of the box contoller for the money. Dimmer switchs could be little stronger and plugs on dimmer controllers should be seperated to allow eight separate controls instead of two banks of 4. With two controllers this would give you 16 seperate channels using the complete board giving you more control over lighting effects.

I was very surprised with the quality of this unit. The manuel needs a little more work from the writers as it is not to clear on a few things. The dimmer packs are labled, 1-4 and 5-8. No where does it tell you that if running 2 banks of lights with four on each side how to set the dip switcks. After call Teck Support I found out that you need to set dimmer pack 1-4 on dip switch 1 and the 5-8 dimmer pack on 1 and 3. That buts all 8 lights on there own slider. The only thing I do not like about this system is the Tap Sync Button. I'm a one man band in which I use live tracks or midi files. Then trying to make up chase senses to work in correspondence with song is not going to happen. You just guess at the sync time over and over until you get it somewhat close. Other then that I'm realy happy I got it. All and all, not to bad.

I was really surprised at the quality of this pack. I bought it to run a small stage at our church. It's not as high a quality mixer as and NSI, the faders aren't quite as sturdy feeling, but the features on the board are great. We opened it up, mounted the dimmers, plugged it in and were rolling. We've bought a second set to run another small staging area that we have. I can't recommend this more for the value

I've had professional ($$$) dimmer/control boards. For the price, it's hard to beat. The dimmers have the dip switches exposed: it's only a matter of time untill they get wacked then the units junk! I put mine in a case,duck-taped metal outlet covers over dip switches to protect them (can still see leds thru outlet cutouts) until I can figure permant solution. Board frequently locks up,all lights flash at once instead of chase. Manuel shows how to clear memory (hold down 3 buttons & reboot) fixes it. It's still a good buy, you just need to baby it or say bye-bye!
