The buy one get one deal with these was the main thing that sold me on this. I was too cheap to get a 57, and I needed two mics for miking both mine and my other guitarist's cab. They're nice and durable, but they color my tone a bit too much for my taste, more treble than I'd prefer. If you're looking for just recording your ideas, it's perfect. If you're looking for pristine, accurate sound reproduction, I'd go with something more high-end. However for the price, they can't be beat.

Electro-Voice EV Cobalt 4 Mic- i used them for overhead mics. worked very well, used it for an acoustic guitar set up. again worked great, did have some vocal bleed thou... just to let you know.
