This is a great little PA. It has big sound that carries well. The new speaker design was co/engineered with a top ranked co. (not sure I can mention their name on here, but it rhymes with hose) I do acoustic gigs and the portability is very key for me. Limited trips to the car before and after gigs is a big plus. It's a bit heavy, but manageable. The sound quality is great and it spreads well. I haven't used it with my full band, but I'm sure it could handle it, it's got some good power. My only beef is the lack of effects and the quality of the reverb. I use some external effects to achieve the sound I want, so it's not a big deal. Overall, This is a great value. It's durable, potable and LOUD. If this one ever craps out on me, I will likely get another to replace it.

PD-250 - Excellent Sound

I manage an acoustic music venue and use 3-PD250s. 2 sets for mains – 3rd set for monitors.

I consistently get compliments from both musicians and fans.

Reverb – leaves a lot to be desired. I use the Lexicon MX200 with capability of 2 separate effects. I use a little reverb and a little compression.

EQ – is pretty limited, but you can get a very nice balanced sound out of the Passport. You won’t be able to do much shaping. I use the Behringer XL1600 for a mixer with great results.

Mics – Fender mics are low quality. I use one for my talkback mic, but I would not put one on stage. My mics include Shure 87Cs, Beta 58As, KSM 109s and Beta 57As.

The PD250 is extremely efficient and runs for a long time on DC power. Fender DC-DC converters have been discontinued by Fender. But you could use a small power inverter.

Service – Hope you never need service. I have talked to a few several technicians who worked on one – once. I personally don’t know anyone who owns one that has needed it repaired.

Almost everything I need

The guy with the loud drummer needs to get a new one. If you can't hear over him with this PA, maybe you forgot to connect the speakers or something.

This little guy SCREAMS! I've owned it for over five years, and I've used it for small gigs the entire time.

The only drawbacks are: It's pretty darn heavy when it's all buckled up.

It won't run unpowered monitors

And it doesn't have phantom power.

But you can use powered monitors, and if you need, you can buy a phantom power supply for your condensers.

I'd buy it all over again for sure. I'd sell you mine used... but you can't have it :P

I bought this pa for the band i play in, we needed one for practice and small gigs. Got it and imeaditly noticed that it was not loud enough. Our drummer is sick nasty, and with him alone u can barley hear this thing. Now we use a JBL system that we were able to borrow for long term for free. IF u play in a rock band, do NOT buy this, its good for church, and small parties or something stupied like that. Luckly i was able to trade this for a new bass. If you have the money buy a JBL system, if not save it and buy one, this thing is junk
