For those of you who are thinker of buying an audio interface for home recording the Saffire LE is an excellent choice. It's a few dollars more than the "budget" items. Yet, it will pay for itself in the not too long run. The product came with a DVD that gave a brief tutorial. I would call it an infomercial. The unit was exceptionally easy to install onto Windows Vista 32bit. When I registered the unit on their web site it directed me to the latest software to download. The audio is crisp and clean. The best I have heard out of a computer. Not only is the sound clear coming out of a pair of near field speakers but it also comes with VSTs that will aid in enhancing your sound. I also liked the MIDI access which is becoming virtually extinct in other devices. Because I arrange music via a keyboard, the MIDI connection works well with my songwriting software. Another feature I like is the ability to create a surround sound environment if I care to up the ante on my projects it is nice that I am not restricted by the device in this case. Overall, a far superior product to those like the Line 6 Tone Port POD Farm in that it does not have a "cheap" feel. And it offers the MIDI capabilities that other devices are missing. Plus, the company is recognized by the industry as being a leader in this arena. Very pleased... Focusrite, you have won a tough customer. Thanks!

I bought this about a week ago and am very pleased with the unit. I've set its current latency to 3ms and it's still running without any crackles or pops.

The preamps on this thing are way better then I thought they'd be. I was actually going to shell out for some new mics until I realized it was an issue with my old pres.

I gave it a slightly lower rating on features because of the lack of a power switch, but it's not that big of deal if you don't mind unplugging to turn it off every time.

Note - I'm running PC with sp2 installed and had some issues with sputtering at first but went to the focusrite website and found link to the fix and now it's running without any issues.
