Diminutive in size, but with a sound that has to be heard to be believed, the Fostex PM0.4 monitor speakers are naturally recommended for desktop use but their superb audio performance in a compact physical size means you can also use them for professional console top studio monitoring, audio installation, and portable audio monitoring. These Fostex speakers feature 36 watts of bi-amped power, UFLC 16mm soft dome HF unit, 100mm LF woofer and overall volume control.

Electriconics:
The PM0.4 monitors feature internal bi-amplification employing two state-of-the-art amplifiers which are precisely calibrated to match the performance of the drive units and use high-quality discrete bipolar output devices:HF 18w, LF 18w. High-capacity power supply units are used for excellent transient response. These Fostex speakers offer TRS and Line inputs.

High Frequency Unit:
The soft dome tweeters employ Fostex's UFLC technology (Poly Urethane Film Laminated Cloth) to achieve light weight and high stability performance.

Low Frequency Unit:
The Fostex PMO.4 speakers use a mixture of cut and milled fibres made from aromatic polyamide impregnated with resins to simultaneously achieve high rigidity and optimum damping. An olefin film is thermally adhered to its surface to control frequency response and ensure reliability. Distortion is minimized by the use of an ultra-pure copper voice coil.

Great monitors for the price!

I definitely recommend the Fostex PMO.4 monitors. These are just great. They are very "honest" monitors, and they pretty much give back exactly what you put into them, which is perfect for home recording. I have a Fostex MR16HD 16 track recorder along with these monitors. Great combination.

I really like these monitors, and I will probably end up buying some more eventually. Also, I got these monitors as a Scratch n' Dent item, so I got them for $50 cheaper. They work perfectly and they look brand new! No scratches or dents in sight, so look into those, it will save you some money without any effect in quality.

I have had these Monitors for about a month now and they have worked great so far!! I am halfway through college for Recording Engineering and don't have a lot of money so I bought these. They are reasonably priced and have a good frequency response so you can mix at home in a smaller studio. There could be a little more low end but its not too bad. The can get loud enough and would also work as great reference monitors in a larger setting.

I've had them for about 1 year now. Not a bad pair of monitors. If you are into mixing then these are not for you, alot is the quality is lost !.. but great for a hobbyist. Overall it is a very durable and loyal pair of monitors...! You will not be disappointed.

I recently picked up a pair of these to replace a pair of Rokit 8's I sold due to space constraints. After several months of use, I have to say I'm quite pleased with them. I have 'em hooked up to a Rokit 10 sub left over from my KRK config and they're just stunning in this setup. Thinking seriously about picking up another pair for the office.

Having been using Tapco s5s I was a bit shocked at how bright the pmo4s are, they are very unforgiving and thats what you need, they show up any flaws and if you get it right with these your mix will sparkle,and they're little which for studios like mine is great.
