Don't buy this player. I bought one a couple years ago. It is useless because it makes all kinds of digital noise such as buzzes, clicks and beeps when activating controls. It also picks up radio stations and cb rigs in the area and puts them into the pa. I also own a stanton 500 dual cd player. It works beautiful with none of these problems.

This dual CD unit has had some poor reviews in the past so I'd like to shed another light. I bought the Gem Sound CD-70 about a year & half ago to start me off into DJ'ing. Since then I've never felt a need to upgrade. It's easy to use and has a nice readout and big lighted push-buttons. Maybe I received a well made unit because it has played every CD or CDR I've ever used or made without fail. It must have exceptional tracking because I'll do my soundcheck with CD's that I know will skip in other players and found that they didn't skip in this one. I do have confidence at least, in the one I own.

OK player but several design flaws

The CD player works OK and seems to be an OK value for the money but many of the features are poorly designed. Unless you press the CUE button after selecting the desired track, the track will not cue to the very beginning but will start playing from about a half second into the track. Also if you run the player in 'single' mode, pressing the CUE button takes it out of 'single' mode so you have to press the SINGLE button every time to get back into single mode if you use the CUE button, which is necessary. This is far too many buttons to continually press for basic operation. The seamless loop is not seamless when you first engage it making that features useless.

I have exchanged 3 times. Each one the right hand side player will start showing an error and not play any cd's. The manufacturer suggested that I try a different model. They told me that they were having a lot of returns on this model. Dont waste your time. The manufacturer will not pay to have it shipped back to them each time it fails. 3 units in less than 1 year, and the third one has now failed.

The device overall is great. Features, useability, etc. However, we've had inconsistent issues with being able to play burned CDs. We can literally burn 2 CDs from the same computer / burner, using the same brand of media, same software, etc. one after another. One CD may play and the other may not. Also, we have 2 of these units and this behaviour is not consistent across all 4 players.

I may just have to return these... :-(
