From the company that first brought you a dual mixing deck featuring built-in audio for PC, comes the DJ Console Rmx, a versatile, digital audio controller designed for advanced and professional DJs. With iots easily portable format it enables mobile DJs as well as club and studio DJs to mix digital music using its USB port to connect to your laptop. The control layout is spacious enough to allow you to mix with no fear of bumping the wrong buttons or accidentally readjusting preset knobs, yet its compact, laptop size makes it easily mobile. For live mixing and seamless integration with the DJ's professional environment, the DJ Console Rmx features a solid metal casing and non-slip pads guaranteeing perfect stability. Adding to its stability, the device boasts flawless drivers designed by Hercules' Canadian R&D division which boasts expertise acquired by a team with more than 20 years of experience in computer-assisted audio processing.
The Hercules DJ Console Rmx controller ensures precision and speed in all your moves, thanks to two ultra-precise jog wheels for moving within tracks and for scratching, 12 rotary switches, 46 push-buttons, six faders - including pitch faders with a center detent - plus an innovative and convenient general volume fader. The roomy layout of the controls allows DJs to perfect fumble-free mixes. DJs will find their marks quickly, allowing them to focus their full attention and ability to the music and the dance floor.
As an expert in the design of audio interfaces, Hercules determined that the integration of an audio interface featuring four inputs and four outputs on the Hercules DJ Console Rmx was both obvious and essential. The interface grants access to unique features such as 4 audio outputs offering maximum sound over 4 mono 1/4" inch jack outputs which output +4dBu for PA equipment, audio output levels at -10dBv over four RCA outputs for connecting consumer devices (hi-fi systems, recording devices etc.), and simple integration to your other equipment by means of two stereo analog inputs enabling you to mix, via the included DJ software, external sources with digital music. The mixing console also features a phono/line-level selector on each input, ideal for connecting turntables, CD or MP3 players, and rhythm boxes. Microphone (with talk-over feature) and headset (for preview feature) connectors are accessible on the Rmx's upper face and front face, enabling DJs to use the console with inimitable convenience, whether in a flight case, on a DJ stand, or on a tabletop.
As mentioned above, the DJ Console Rmx Controller comes with DJ software, VirtualDJ 5 DJC Edition, which will work with both PCs and Macs. VirtualDJ 5 DJC Edition instantly connects to the console and includes features and settings specific to the Hercules DJ Console Rmx, combining the power of the VirtualDJ mixing engine with the ergonomics of the console. The Hercules DJ Console Rmx is also a MIDI controller and therefore compatible with other MIDI-controlled software applications.

I just received my Hercules DJ Console Rmx Controller today and am pretty impressed with it so far. I like the fact that after loading the drivers and selecting the controller on Virtual DJ is pretty well plug and play. All the buttons are Midi mapped to Virtual DJ.
I have noticed a few glitches along the way though , but nothing that you can't really work when DJ'ing.
First off, I noticed a noticeable popping noise out of my powered speakers when I turned on the Mic button. The Mic On/Off button is used to lower the music so you can talk over it. The solution I came up with to overcome this problem is to simply leave the Mic in the On position and just raise the levels on the volume to overcome this. From there you just use the on/off switch on your Microphone which will eliminate the nasty popping noise.
I also notice that when you start up Virtual DJ that volume on both sliders is adjusted to the Max which literally blasts the music when you start playing. If you adjust the sliders before playing you music the program will adjust them accordingly.
So aside from these two minor issues I'm pretty impressed, the Hercules RMX delivers what it promises. I am also really impressed with the construction of this unit, it is solid and durable.
So if like using Virtual DJ as much as I do this is the Controller for you.

I have used this product for about a year now. I have been recently using it in conjunction with Virtual DJ Version 6. It has been one of the best units out there for portability and easy to use. It did have some problems with "glitches" in the beginning, but received updates from Guillemot and has resolved the glitches between the Hercules unit and Virtual DJ so far. Overall, I am very satisfied with this unit. Well, worth it's weight in gold.

Firstly, I expected Hercules and Virtual DJ to solve the collaboration problem of hardware and software that they had with the MK II. The MK II had great sound and extremely reliable but it was not very DJ friendly with it’s size and design. The RMX solves that design problem but the software and DJ console is a far cry from the functionality of the MK II in conjunction with Virtual DJ 3.4.1.
I understand that this was an older system and they had time to perfect the bugs in it but both Hercules and Virtual DJ need to do a better job of collaboration on getting their product to market. The RMX has great potential but it is a half a step off. The drivers need to deliver cleaner sound without the slight background noise, the console skin needs to have access to the sampler, record, effects, and database tabs just like in Virtual DJ Pro. I think there is room for improvement and after my own experience and the experience of others that I have seen here online these are some issues that need to be addressed. There needs to be a better interface between both WDM and ASIO.

I'm on my 2nd one now. I loved this thing for the last year. It was great and easy to use. Then last week the strap slipped off my arm while I was carrying out my stuff. It only came down 2 or 2 ft. very smoothly as the strap slid down my arm. Even in the padded case it came with after hitting the edge side and then falling flat...I opened it to find the headphone volume knob GONE! It turns out that the volume knob not only does NOT have a nut on it (even though it has a threaded pot.) But there is nothing but a few solders keeping it in place. I took it apart and found out its held on by 6? tiny solders on the side! So...even though everything else works fine...its pretty much useless without the next track preview. I did buy another one....(as it is the best thing I've had so far) but warn you...DO NOT DROP OR EVEN SET DOWN HARD. I would even recommend getting an ATA case for it. The padded bag it comes with does nothing! Thats what I'm doing.
