So I got this bundle today and have been trying to get it work for 6 F****** HOURS NOW! There's the hissing problem with the output, and then programs that come bundled with it don't ever work in conjunction with each other. Not only that, the manufacturers become silent when questioned on this. It's ridiculous.

For me, using a newer MacBook Pro, this product could not have been simpler. Plug in and play, after installing the AmpliTube Live software. I did not have the issue with noise that others have experienced and the included software was fun and the amp modeling is stellar. Maybe it's the difference between using Windows and Mac OS X. I liked it so much, I went out and purchased the AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix version and have the AmpliTube Fender on order. I originally purchased the StealthPlug as a USB interface for the lastest version of Apple's GarageBand and it works great for that as well. Apple includes a compatible driver in their system software. Now, I can play my guitar through the interface and have a very realistic sound through headphones and practice in the Family Room at night while my family is watching TV and I don't need to go to the basement and "crank" some amps. A wonderful, fun product highly recommended.

I had the same problems as almost everyone else. Lots of hiss, Lots of hassle. As far as getting it to work properly, I have gone back to using a mike & amp while saving up for a new interface. I did learn that less money is usually more hassle.

The driver software is a bit troublesome with xp but once i figuered that out I found no other issues with the product. I have found that plug works with my Roland electronic drums. My son and I have used Traction to record our own tracks and blend them together with no real issues to speak of. Overall a decent product for the money.

Cleaned up my live set-up

My main mission for this product was live use playing my Bass with minimal cables. I was using a USB interface with my Macbook and an Ampeg Amp set up flat in order to take advantage of my Ampeg SVX Software amp modeling features.
This cable replaced the complicated interfaces that I was using and going to the "House" Sound board. I am NOT using the "Headphones Out" jack from the steathplug. I go directly out from my Laptop out to the amp and soundboard.
There is no latency issues.
The mac already comes with the "Driver" for the plug so you just connect and play. If you are going to go live with it, you MUST disable the "Feedback" check mark in audio preferences or the click sound from the computer will sound live when you adjust the volume using the plug.
Yes it is noisy if you use it with guitars. The reason is that this is a "Hi-Gain" plug. Not a regular balanced or "Low-gain" line inputs like in other systems. I used the noise gate feature to clean up the "noise" when not playing. Also, you MUST adjust audio gain in the "Sound Preferences" Window"
Overall, I like it, But I wish the cable was a little longer. If possible buy the "Real" Amplitube 2 for guitar or the Ampeg SVX for Bass. You have Many more options thatn the toned-down Live program with the plug.
