FL Studio 8 XXL Bundle DAW Software is an extremely flexible virtual music studio. This bundle is the most complete version of the FL Studio 8 line, and includes the most plug-in, MIDI, audio, and output support; the most included generators/softsynths; all the music creation, automation, mixer, FX rack, updates, and online feature options; more than 1900 presets using 600 WAV files; a generic sample CD; and a sample DVD with 14,000 (2.5GB) of HQ samples.

Designed for the PC and Intel Macs running Boot Camp (see system requirements below), FL8 requires no extra software to produce any style of music, as the complete set of instrument and studio tools is included in the cost of the package. With the included plug-ins, sounds, and tools, you can create complete songs, as well as backing tracks, loops, and sizzling beats. Completed songs can be saved to WAV, MP3, MIDI, ZIP, or native project formats (FLP).

FL8 is an open-architecture studio environment where the only constraint is your own imagination. This is reflected in adjustable audio and control data routing, freeform playlist design, and interoperability with industry standards (VST/VSTi/VST2, DXi, DXi2, Buzz, ReWire, MIDI, MP3, WAV, OGG). In FL8, particular emphasis was given to improved music production workflow through enhanced interface design, so that ideas can be crystallized and creativity captured.

Virtual Instruments
FL Studio 8 XXL Edition software includes several virtual synthesizers covering acoustic/synthetic bass, electric guitar simulation, plucked string simulation and drums; sampler tools including piano and general sample playback; and a range of synthesis techniques. With its newest addition, FL Synthmaker Player—a fully modular environment—you can create & share your own FL instruments, effects, & dashboards without the need to write basic code.. Audio Recording & Editing
FL8 can record up to 64 simultaneous tracks of audio, to record anything from a single vocalist right through to a full symphony orchestra. The Playlist workspace can contain an unlimited number of audio tracks. It also gives you the flexibility to arrange discrete audio events in any order, and position the creative process the way you want to. Audio tools let you time-stretch, pitch-shift, beat-slice, chop, edit, and creatively deconstruct audio. The Image Line team has further enhanced its Edison Wave Editor, a totally integrated audio editing and recording tool with spectral analysis, convolution reverb, loop recording, and more. Format-wise, FL8 Studio supports WAV, MP3, and OGG.

Sequencing
FL8 functions as both a pattern- and track-based sequencer depending on your preferences, so you can record musical performances and ideas in a more logical way. Tools include an unlimited track step-sequencer, an advanced piano roll, and automation clips. FL8 Studio supports MIDI and input from all standard controllers.

Arranging
FL8's Playlist lets you decide how your project will be laid out as it is completely malleable with virtually unlimited space where Note Pattern, Audio, and Automation data can be arranged and edited to suit your creative ideas and workflow.

Mixing/Mastering
FL8 includes a 64 stereo track mixer in which each track can include up to 8 effects and can also be routed to any of the other 64 tracks or one of 4 dedicated "send" channels. The 44 effects plug-ins available for FL8 (see features area for those include in this version) include Maximizer, Limiter, Compression, Delay, Distortion, EQ, Filtering, Phasing, Flanging, Chorus, Vocoding, and Reverb. These will take you from the creative broad-brush effects like reverb to subtler parts of the mastering process with multi-band compression/limiting and parametric EQ.

The programming of this 'DAW' is absolutely ingeniuos. The interface has grown over the years from a simple loop player, to a full fledged DAW. I found this program extremely flexible, the Piano Roll is unbeatable and the implementation of the FX is outstanding. The only issue I have ever had is the latency. I wrote my favorite tunes on this DAW but I am a Mac user now and am pacing waiting for an OSX version of the software. I think the Core Audio drivers would make this sound unbeatable.

I have been using FL since version 4, and I love it. You can use all kinds of external VST Instruments with this program, AND almost any kind of plugin in the mixer. I bought an MPC because everyone said this program was not a professional program. I ended up selling it just wasn't as good as the MPC! I proved them wrong. This program is much more comprehensive.

In reply to Believe Me from Nashville's review... It sounds to me like your skills as a producer are lacking rather than it being a shortcoming of the software. I have pro tools, reason, abelton, and a fantom x7, and I have made entire songs on FL that sound better than any of those products. Granted not everyone will like this DAW and the way it works or sounds, but it is certainly capable of producing professinal results. You get out of FL studio what you put into it, just like ANY music production tool. Personally, I think this is one of the most versatile, user friendly and dynamic DAW I have ever used. Reason STILL doesn't support VST or DXI plugins

I use this app for recording acoustic guitar, vocals, electric guitar and making electronic music, along with the Emu 1616m & a AT4040 mic. I've never used a better app & I have Protools, Magix Sequia & reason. Those who have said this app is lacking have not took the time to learn it or do not have adequate hardware. My recordings end up sounding better than people I know that have paid for studio time.

If you enjoy this program then you really don't get the point. I could see is you were not a serious musician or just beginning to find this program appealing. But the audio recording quality is bad. If your using this to make loops (drums synth) its ok. If this is your main DAW, than you are missing out. I used this program for years and a much better set up I found is to ReWire Reason with Ableton Live. It is what fruity loops tries to do but fails at.
