The JBL EON515 is a 15-inch, two-way, powered, portable speaker system. Capable of reproducing full bandwidth sound at high levels it offers the additional utility of a 3 channel built-in mixer. The EON515 speaker is comprised of a 15" Differential Drive woofer, a 1" neodymium high frequency compression driver coupled to a 100° H by 60° V waveguide. Both components are driven by the discrete channels of a 450 W Crown Class-D integrated power amplifier. The input section contains all crossover functions, protection, and audio mixer functionality.
The mixer offers XLR or 1/4-inch TRS phone jack compatibility. Selectable input sensitivities allow a broad range of devices to be properly matched. A unique mix/loop signal low router provides opportunities for daisy chaining or gigging with the built-in mixer only. Pre-engineered system EQs allow for matching the settings to the actual source material. In the "cut" position maximum level can be achieved for speech reproduction by reducing need to reinforce the lower frequencies. This is also a typical setting when using the PA speaker system as a floor monitor, reducing low frequency build-up that occurs naturally when placed on a floor. The "flat" setting is ideal for live music and the "boost" for reproducing low level pre-recorded music, delivering extra low and high frequency energy. The signal present and limit lights indicate performance status. JBL included an additional switch that kills the illuminated logo in theater applications.

Was looking for a system to perform at local hotspots along with the occasional 400-500 crowd. Must say these speakers are probably the most versatile i've seen with clarity throughout the entire spectrum. Reviews do not give these speakers justice. Followed up with the 518 sub and we have the perfect light-weight package. Many reviews flaw the volume however we have yet to max the speakers. Excellent choice

I'm the owner of a latin music band playing almost salsa music. I bought a pair of these JBL 515's a couple of weeks ago to replace my Peavey PR-12's, the sound improvement was amazing. Cristal clear on voices and the bass punch is powerful. I'm combining them with a Behringer PMP5000 for large venues and a Behringer PMP1000 for small to mid venues, just using the mixer power for my monitors, the sound on this combination is amazing. Just waiting to sell my old equipment to get one JBL EON 518 subwoofer.

Got a pair of these EONS and it hits hard at all my gigs, crisp highs and solid lows. The built in amp doesnt get hot, in fact just a little warm, very little. And yes its lightweight baby!

I bought these speakers on a recommendation from a friend and I am very happy that I did. They sound and look fantastic. I cannot get over as to how lightweight they are with the built in amp. Most of the rooms I work accommodate about 300 people and the speakers handle the room just fine. The only disappointment is in the so called "Rebate" offer, that enticed me at the time of purchase. The wording is slightly deceptive resulting in my purchase not qualifying for the rebate. Harmon Kardon also did not respond to my inquiries, leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Poor customer service.

Very clear and concise audio reproduction, no mudding up of the sound what-so-ever. To the guy who had input issues, a Balanced XLR output from your PA rig capable of +10 is required (most sound boards can supply this with ease!) We're using a Numark C3FX DJ Mixer running to a BBE 882i with all balanced cables and it sounds great. If you go from balanced to unbalanced and try to go back, you WILL have signal loss issues. Conversely, trying to introduce a unbalanced signal into a balanced input will produce undesirable results. Overall, very worth the price - match these with the subs and you can't beat it for a small rig!
