The JBL SRX728S Dual 18" Subwoofer is built to deliver smooth, clean, accurate low-end. With a pair of 18" Differential Drive woofers, it handles an amazing 1600W power (continuous). Large, open ducts minimize port turbulence and the heavily braced JBL enclosure assures tight, solid bass response. Designed to present a minimum frontal area, the subwoofer enclosure offers complete input connection flexibility with 2 Neutrik Speakon jacks. A recessed, external switch allows selection of either contacts +1/-1 or +2/-2 while an internal connector allows you to drive each woofer from a separate amplifier channel. The speaker cab is constructed of top-quality birch plywood and coated in rugged DuraFlex. Each woofer is housed in an isolated chamber and the enclosure is heavily braced to maximize low-frequency performance. The attractive CNC machined, 16-gauge steel grille is internally lined with acoustically transparent foam to provide the JBL SRX728S with additional driver protection and a very professional appearance. This subwoofer excels when paired with the PA speakers (sold separately).

I purchased eight of these cabinets along with eight of the matching tops and each Is powered with a QSC PLX3602 the big difference I noticed between the old cabs and these is a flatter response on the EQ and at least four times the volume I've used is what the band I work with and with four of the tops and bottoms per side we been able to cover an area with 10,000 people no problem at all

Best subs on the planet

Just used 8 of these babies paired with two of the JBL VRX series flyers and two SRX PA cabs, all powered with Crown Ti 6000 amps and the sound was immaculate. Running a peavey sub enhancer through a dbx signal processor gave us crystal clear, thunderous bass. One of these and an amp to power it might be a little more expensive than say a mackie powered sub, but it's totally worth it.

I bought these along with a Peavey 4080HZ power amp to replace a couple Mackie SWA1501 powered subs that I was using. The difference is night and day. Crystal clear, yet thunderous bass for all applications. These can handle over three times the power that the Mackie subs could (1600w continuous against only 500w) and they sound better doing it. 5 on features - the unpowered speakers allow for flexibility of any independent power amp. 5 on quality - these things can take a beating 4 on value - they're a little pricey (but totally worth it) 5 overall - they're the best money can buy. If you're debating between these and any other subs, don't even think twice about spending the extra cash for these. Just make sure you're running a decent power amp with enough power... a small 900w amp won't cut it.

When I purchased these babys I had a Battle to attend. My rival had 4 dual 18 inch EV subs and I had These 2 JBLs. Man did these smoked those four. Poeple arriving at the event thought I had a band with me. Thats how good these sound. I with no regrets personally recomend these to any Latin band or Sonidero(DJ) out there. Estan re Chidas!.
