I bought these a half year ago. Very very very pleased with the quality of the sound that these produce. But after an hour of working with the KRK's, I get a splitting headache.

I've had no regrets after buying this set of speakers. You get more then you pay for I believe

I finally got these things via UPS today, plugged them in, threw on a couple tunes I knew had impeccable mixes, and wow! Putting them on isolation pads, dialing in the HF, and positioning them in an equilateral triangle with your head, it's like you are swimming in pristine 3D sound. At merely unity gain, these things can get loud! I reviewed some old problematic mixes and fixed them almost instantly using the RP-6's. The clarity of eq and pan dedication make them perfect. Although this is my first pair of quality studio monitors, I've been recording and mixing music for about six years and have not come across a finer way to improve one's mix right from a home studio (headphones and/or lower quality speakers don't work). If these things hold out, they'll be serving my recording and mixing needs for a long long time.

Perfect for the Money

These are hefty little speakers and built exceptionally strong.

I hooked them up to my mixer, set everything down the middle and turned them on. No PoP!s or Ear popping Blasts from the speakers on startup just silence and a little yellow LED lit under the Rokit Moniker telling me things were ready. I opened a sound file from my laptop and prepared for possible disappointment. In Fact I was Amazed at the sound quality. The bass was really tight and controlled, and every high note shone from these odd looking woofers and squeaky looking tweeters.

After sitting at my workstation smiling at my fortune and critically listening to some of my work I seemed to detect a slight hiss in the background of a backing track I had recently recorded which I have never heard before. Worriedly I listened more closely. What initially I feared was a bad lead or perhaps a bad speaker turned out to be a recorded sound - the decay of a cymbal within the music.

In my life I have never heard this level of Detail or Clarity from either my expensive headphone monitors or any piece of equipment. Are these the best - I'm not sure. But for the money I don't think you can go wrong.

Great sounding, but quality is negligible

The sound of these speakers is amazing for the price. They are considered one of the best values for a project studio. The quality could be betther though. I have had my CL (silver edition) RP-6 monitors for about 4 months, and one of the monitors began to make static noises. It really is a burden to send out the speaker and be without it for a month. These speakers are made in China, and I try to be careful about anything made in China these days. If you want a speaker that can stand the test of time then I'm not sure if this is it. I have read other owner's stories of similar problems and if it is out of warranty you have to pay a hefty price (almost the price of a new speaker) to repair it. Hopefully I will have no more problems and these speakers will continue to be in my studio for a long time.
