So each Generation 2 Rokit monitor comes with an Input Volume Control that provides an adjustable gain range from +6dB to -30dB. Catch A Wave, For A 3D Mix
Recessed tweeters may look the same, but they don't perform the same. KRK has designed a superior tweeter wave guide for the Rokit that provides optimal high frequency pattern control and focuses the sound outward, away from the cabinet. More conventional designs direct sound along the plane of the cabinet where waveform interaction can cause phase problems and increased diffraction. Take Control
While your Generation 2 Rokit monitor leaves the factory voiced to demanding specs, KRK also knows that no two rooms "sound" the same. As such, each Rokit speaker comes equipped with a High Frequency Level Control. This feature provides specific adjustment of high frequency output most commonly affected by room acoustics. It's just one extra level of control that KRK gives you to ensure the most accurate mix for your
particular room's acoustics.
Don't Be Square, Curves Ahead
The new Rockit monitor looks different, so it can sound better, and in a wider "sweet spot". Traditional rectangular speakers suffer from diffraction as sounds leaving the edge of the cabinet are reflected back into the original sound field, and at different time intervals. This phase distortion creates a "narrow" or boxy" sound. The Generation 2 Rokit series eliminates this issue with radically engineered curved surfaces, so diffraction is virtually eliminated. Simply put, you'll get better sound in a wider area.
Let's Be Up Front

These rear-firing ports tend to create bass coupling with walls and corners amplifying low frequency information which will color your mix. I just upgraded from the Rokit 5 (first generation) to these newer Rokit 6 G2 monitors and I know this sounds cliche, but the difference really is night and day. These monitors sound great! There is so much more detail and bass response. The bass response is understandable since they do use a bit larger woofers, but still, I consider this a major upgrade in sound. At first when I read the literature about the G2 improvements with the rounded cabinets, etc. I thought it was a bunch of hype. But after upgrading to these and doing a direct comparison to the first generation Rokit 5 monitors, I have to say that this is well worth the additional cost. I'm a happy camper!

Out of the money I spent for my home studio set up. These aside from my DAW (logic pro) get the coveted prized of being my favorite equipment. Whether listening to a mix or any music. You' can really hear the mix that you was intended to hear. I am so happy with these monitors.

So you came to the right place. I bought these a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. The pic doesn't give these credit they are huge, full sounding and even. Not what you would expect from a speaker at this price. I never owned a better pair, but I've installed Genelec and Dynaudio at work and understand their robust and clean sounds. These speakers compare price wise, don't let the tag fool you. By the way check who uses them in their studios you will be surprised (Timbaland). This is the best near field monitor for the home studio and the price......sweet!

These monitors are sooooooo good! Especially when you consider their price, they open up the sound and everything sound bigger. I have found that the mixes on these compared to before I had these translate so much better to other stereos. I have actually gone and remixed all of my old mixes since I got these! Amazing!
