I have owned these monitors for about a year and a half and have had absolutely NO problems with them. If you are in a band that is strapped for cash, don't think, just buy them. I also ran them as mains for a 5 piece funk band and they sounded great and filled the room. Glad I made the purchase.

The day these arrived, my band had a gig. They came strait out of the box and onto the stage where we were playing. They work and sound great. They feature a convenient OUT as well as the IN so that they can be wired in series. They produce the sound crisp and clear, however if you plug your guitar amplifier directly into it, there may be too much treble. I suggest putting it through a mixer first so that you can fix that. All in all there a great monitor.

I scored a nice 300watt rms Yamaha powered mixer, and I wanted a nice pair of Yamaha BR12M's to go with it. No way, even with great pricing here. I first got the Kustom KPC10M but I did not like the cabinet, and still yearned for the nice BR12. I took back the Kustom KPC10 and traded up to the Kustom KPC12M....they sound just like the higher priced Yamaha's. I've been around and I know what sounds good. Maybe you couldn't push them with megawatts, but they are just sweet with my 300watts. Clear, clean sound, highs and lows are just right. The cabinet of course plays a part in this as well. I think they are going to be discontinued....but them now!

Very Satisfied For The Cheese

When I was searching for a pair of monitors/FOH for my bands PA, I looked long and hard at these. I read the reviews, and figured if they blew I would just replace the components with higher quality drivers since I can't build a cabinet for this low of a price, well after using these monitors as FOH speakers run through a Behringer PMP5000 just for vocals and guitars, they have held up great, they are clear sounding and seem to take quite a bit of abuse, I paired them up in stereo with 2 Phonic 10" cabinets and wired them down to 4ohm total and just run all our vocals through them and they sound better than our Soundtech cabinets, you just can't beat the price, if you blow the drivers your still better off than an expensive brand all the way around.

Great Buy for Practice PA System

I bought 2 of these monitors and my band uses them as part of our practice PA system. We run vocals through them, and on occasion, our bass player plugs directly into the PA because his bass amp always seems to be broken. For band practice, to simplify things, we have been running only these 2 monitors, with no mains, and no drum or guitar cab mics. The have worked out VERY well for our purposes. We don't overload the monitors, but we definitely push them a bit, and the sound has been very good, and the monitors are extremely feedback resistant. For gigging, we use Carvin powered monitors, and the sound of these Kustoms is comparable to the Carvins. They also seem to be well built, although ours have not left our practice space. For the price, I believe that these are an excellent buy for any band on a budget, or a great alternative for a practice PA. Just remember that they are not top of the line monitors and you should not push them past their limits.
