I was low on cash and just started new band and we need monitors for practice, bought pair of these, new out of the box one had bad horn driver buzzing sound going in out, I took it apart and found the cheap piezo driver came lose from the cone, yes it is glued on unreal cheap cheep, I re-glued it and it healed up but I ended up selling them local and bought two pair of the Behringer 1520 Pro and these blow them away heavy but sound loud and clear well eq’d X-over, as for the kustom KPC15M sorry! but save your money these are low in sound quality by far the worst sounding monitors you can buy next to nady, by the way are total junk! I love MF but everyone sells these and other cheep low quality speakers to the consumer for what they can afford? If you buy these and think they are great I feel sorry for you!

I agree with reviewer 'rous' This is my first pair of monitor speakers, so I can't really compare the sound to anything, but they seem to sound good. I've had them for 2 weeks now. I also noticed that the 1/4 inch inputs seem a little loose when I plugged in my cables. (I tested this with other cables as well – still seemed to be a loose fit.) Although this does not seem to affect the sound. Overall, I'd say these are good, and very versatile speakers with a fantastic price.

I bought these for Mains in my band. They really did the job. The magnet in the center is just massive, and the boxes they come in are totally rugged. I dont have enough speakers yet, so i plan to buy these for monitors. They really do pound. You can even stack them and use them for guitar/bass. They just like to be used. If you need some loud speakers, these are where it's at. It really doesn't get much easier than this.

I bought a pair of these for use as stage monitors and the price was certainly a bonus. I run them through a QSC 900 amp (270W/Channel @ 8 ohms) and they sound very clean. They are rated for 125W RMS but do the job. In addition to using with a band (with highs/lows such as vocals/bass going through them) I tested them with stereo/CD's and the crossover seems to work well - good high's from the horn and lows from the woofer.

There are two minor downsides, but they wouldn't deter me from buying/recommending another pair - 1) the material covering the cab will likely tear/scratch more easily than carpet or other thicker types of coverings, but that's just cosmetic. 2) The 1/4" input jack does not feel "tight" when I plug speaker cables in; I'm using 16Ga speaker cable with typical phono jacks that plug fairly "tightly" into other cabinets I have. They don't fall out though and have made it through practices with no problem.

As far as 3.5 on the features - it has phono jacks and a decent grill on the front to protect the speaker, but nothing fancy - if it had Speakon connectors, carpet, and a metal grill, I'd improve that rating ... but again, that would drive the price up.

For the price I'm happy with these after a month of use. There are really affordable amps that would likely match these well; All in all you could put together an affordable decent PA system for moderate use.

I bought this monitor pair for our start up band, the price was right! When we hooked them up I was impressed with the sound. As Stage monitors they rock! We also use them to play music through with a lap top and an Mps player through our power amp and mixing board. These speakers are the real deal. The cabinet construction is top notch, the look great and sound great - you cant go wrong!
