32 legendary Lexicon effects are packed into the Lexicon MX200 Dual Reverb/Effects Processor, a rackmount processor equipped with USB so it can be used as a software plug-in. It's got raw dual-processor power; instant front-panel access for live performance; and rich, smooth, complex processing algorithms for the studio, as well as specialty effects and dbx dynamics. Every effect and parameter is instantly accessible by a single button push or knob turn, and the powerful editor/librarian software gives you intense, under-the-hood control.
The USB interface provides intuitive cross-platform VST and Audio Unit plug-in control, allowing the MX200 to function as a hardware plug-in. The MX200's processor still handles the processing load, but you control it through your computer, with full automation and recall features. MX-Edit, the included cross-platform editor/librarian software, lets you create, edit, compare, save, and load reverb and effects programs.
You can use 2 reverbs or effects at once in one of 4 flexible routing options: dual mono, cascade, dual stereo (parallel), or mono split. There are 99 carefully crafted Factory programs and 99 User programs, front-panel controls for Input Level, Mix 1, and Mix 2 Wet/Dry controls, Routing button, independent Tempo, Bypass, and 3 control knobs for each Processor, Program Select knob, Audition button (to preview the selected effect), and Store button.
The front panel Active Reverb/Effects Matrix displays which 2 effects are active, delivers single-control access to all functions, and lets you quick-audition any preset with five settings. Dual independent processor control areas with dedicated Effects Select, Tempo, Bypass, and 3 parameter control knobs provide access and control over critical parameters. LEDs illuminate to indicate any change from the 99 Factory or 99 User Programs.

I picked up my MX200 yesterday after a couple of months researching different possibilities for my rig. I am using a strat and a Marshall JCM2000 TSL100 with Boss overdrive,eq, compressor and noise gate up front. The reverb on the Marshall is not bad but not great. I was looking to add better reverb, chorus and delay but didn't like the idea of having to tap dance across a slew of pedals at a gig. The MX200 was exactly what I was looking for. This processor is amazing through effects loop on my amp. The effects are clean, warm, noise free and full bodied. If you take the time to tweak the effects to suit your rig you will be rewarded with rich tones that will add a new dimension to your performance.

This piece is great for the price. You really can't go wrong with this thing. We use it at our church and actually have 3 of them connected. This little thing has made a big difference. I am going to get one or two for my studio for sure. If you want great quality and price get this thing.

I'm a high-school musician, and I'm buying a sound system to start performing around the area with. I bought this to add some effects to my vocals, and oh my goodness, this thing is AMAZING. Don't go with any cheapy companies like Behringer or Nady for effects like these. This unit is simply UNBEATABLE. Being able to do two effects simultaneously is awesome, and the knob-light
interface is very EASY and very USEFUL. The sounds are amazing, there are so many different combinations of custom sounds you can create, and it is GREAT for live performing. Also, if you use recording software in the studio, this product has a USB port that allows it to be used as an effects processor for recording--which equals AMAZINGNESS! :]
The reverb effects are great, but what gets me is are the delays. They sound like something you'd here at a Coldplay concert or something :] I am 100% satisfied with this piece, the sounds are AMAZING, I'd definitely recommend it! :]

Bought this to process reverb/delay for my PA rack, so easy to use, great sounds, Lexicon has no real competition for this product.

I owned the MX200 for about a year and a half running it in a rack with a Marshall Tube preamp and poweramp for guitar. I found, like another reviewer mentioned, that the factory presets were totally unusable for any situation. The reverb was not impressive and in general, I never used it because of that. The strong points of this unit are that it has two independent channels and multiple routing options. In addition, it is midi cabable. All most people really want is a good sounding reverb setting and they stick with it. Surely, between the multiple routing options, varable mix amounts both on your amp/PA and this unit, and the multiple reverbs this offers, one should be able to find one they like. For my gear at the time however, I just never really did, but that is not to say it cant be found with this device. Some other very strong points to this are the delays and the pitch shifter. Try to find a decent pitch shifter and a single delay box and you've dropped over 200 bucks. This unit has some decent delays if you are willing to spend time with them, and it has a decent pitch shifter for harmonizing. That makes it useful to have around, especailly for someone that rarely uses most effects, but wants the all in one solution around just in case. I eventually did sell my MX200, but, I have yet to find a good replacement unit or even some decent stomp boxes that sounded alot better. Not a bad choice if you are short on cash. But for the professional studio producer or musician, not the best use of funds either.
