The Line 6 TonePort UX2 USB Recording/Modeling Interface features the pro amp, cab, and effects models from the PODxt and Bass PODxt; high-quality vocal preamp models; and a simple, latency-free USB recording interface all in one amazing box.

I recently got this used from a fellow in Ottawa, and I really must say that I am impressed. I've always been a believer in tube tone and that in reality its hard to find any digital modeler that can really reproduce these tones; but I've lost faith in that opinion of late after playing with this thing for less than a week!

Running this through a laptop with 512mb RAM and a 2ghz processor results in almost no latency, through a very very minor adjustment to buffer size. And the usability and functionality of the software included is remarkable. Overall for the price this is the thing to get from home recordings!

This thing sounds pretty good, actually. Nothing can replace a loud tube amp, but for quiet practice and recording, Line 6 did a really good job.

However, when recording, this thing gives me almost a half-second of latency on whatever computer I try to use it on... not very impressive.

I have recently purchesed this awesome recording thing. I still havent got the full hang of it cause it really tough. there is only one thing I can really see that I don't like. Trying to record with it is hard due to the delay you will experince. But I am sure that can be changed and fixed but I would reccomend this to anyone!! IT s great for the money.

Out of all the equipment I've ever owned I am most impressed by how great this has been for its price. I know that if you're recording in a full scale $1000/hour studio you're not going to see this anywhere, but if you're doing recording at home this will fill all your needs. If you plan on not using gearbox or not, this is still great for getting everything from your mixer to your computer. I've had no problems with the equipment yet and it still impresses me every time I use it. So buy it and spend all the extra money on a good condenser.

This products is mind blowing. I Have a Bachelor of Science in Recording, so I think I know what I am talking about. I Love the sound quality of the interface and use it mainly as a preamp for a digi002. My only disappointment, that its separate dual outputs actually are a stereo blended output. So this means for any recording purposes it's really one channel. Also us it at band practice for vocals and kick into PA. I compare it to a swiss army knife for audio anything. It makes 58's sound better and you won't get a better vocal for less money. Use decent mics and great cables in every in and out and you will be blown away. Line 6 if you are listening give us a a 8 channel interface with 10 VU meters and most importantly allow use of gear box on all eight inputs.............
