A nice product. I'd buy it again. In this day, at current computer and memory prices, if you don't have the computer required to run this, then you probably shouldn't be looking to buy an i/o board anyway.

I bought this to reduce my studio equipment as I have little space. So far I have been very pleased with it. I run a P4 3.2Ghz with 2GB ram on XP. I capture 7 channels of pre-amped drums and use the instrument input through gearbox to lay the foundation with a live feel.
The only downside, it has less memory than my old Layla 24 (4MB vs. 16MB). It is not a real problem as I just lock tracks down earlier on where I could mix\apply more plugins before having to lock things down with layla.
Tone Direct monitoring works very well and is much lower latency than monitoring fx processed in my DAW software. I run the tone direct at one notch to the right of default and use a 256 buffer. I do only record at 44.1 or 48 which I think sounds great for what I do.

If you can afford the CPU power this thing requires, then you can afford something better, like a Pro Tools setup. Its a nice system but it takes a lot of computer to run it. That just doesn't make it a cost effective solution. I may return it and try a Lexicon Omega instead...
